  To stand here in a public forum and call him bad names is flabbergasting to me.

  Well put, something I’ve found most curious about this forum since the elections took place is that there is still so much faith in what is reported and claimed here. Remember, just one week ago we were told by the ownership here that Romney was going to become President… and that the win would be a landslide.

  Chet is right though… there isn’t a state in this country with a majority vote for seceding. Sure you can find 50K or so people willing to sign an online petition, but 50,000 vs several million… those odds dont add up.

  PLUS, no state can just choose to no longer be a member of the union unless the majority of other states also agreed on such a thing as it would take a edit to the constitution to allow it.

  Translation = NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!!! Rebuild your political brand instead of this nonsense.

  Metallicat, not at all… I too hold many conservative principles dear to my heart, I am also a very happily married man… to a woman… but have zero fear of what could happen to my country, or my relationship should a man fall in love with another man, or a woman fall in love with another woman.

  As long as both involved are consenting adults, of sound mind, I couldn’t care less.

  Freedom… they keep out of my bedroom, I will keep out of theirs.

  Fact is, until an actual constitutional conservative straps the GOP banner across their chest, the republican party will be a party of fear, ignorance and bigotry.

  Actually, if you review the 2008 results you do indeed find that many of these same precincts were 100% Obama 0% McCain in 2008.

  Now that is not to suggest such a fact disqualifies all arguments of voter manipulation, but, it certainly does help bolster the idea that this isn’t as random and difficult an event to believe.
