my daughter is stuck in Vegas till Sunday. Her first trip by herself she is in tears with no money for hotel after tonight, we can’t help till Friday. AirTran/southwest said they didn’t have anything but I was finding their flights out in the morning for sale on their website for more then triple original price.

I have received casting e-mails for some of these reality shows. They are always looking for a person to fit a role they already have scripted. My daughter’s friend was followed by MTV for 2 days. The kids were coached about what to say. The producers had them point out types of kids to interview to add drama, they really got sick of it by the end of the first day. She was glad they did not get picked to be on the show, it would have meant being followed around for 4 weeks.
So anyway I don’t feel sorry for this women, you would have to be very naive or looking for your 15 minutes of fame to agree to go on those shows.
Why be part of a self-fulfilling liberal prophecy/object lesson?
I don't think they have any idea of what "family' they will get swapped for .. so I guess they learned a tough lesson .. don't trust anyone in the "entertainment" business. They are all out to push they own agenda and biases.
"I don’t think they have any idea of what “family’ they will get swapped for"
When you go on a show called "wife swap", i can pretty much guarantee you that you an your family will be paired off with trash because "wife swap" is trash. Trash begets trash.
CONFLICT SELLS. I work in TV, as a producer for a show that's been on for 9 seasons. I can tell you that the #1 thing an Executive Producer wants to hear in a pitch is "conflict" because that draws viewers. Look at American Chopper, that was sold on it's conflict between Dad & Jr. Freaks and conflict, that draws the eyeballs advertisers want. I was on a show that got good numbers for two seasons and was cancelled and that was probably the biggest issue with the network, no fights.
So these two families were PERFECT. Both freaks in their own way and both extreme examples of their position bound to have turmoil tears and yelling.

Our high school has improved the security. As part of the new system the kids were told to throw their shoes at someone in the school with a gun.

Every time I hear the stories like this I wonder if they are on these drugs. My daughter attempted to take her own life twice. The first more of an attention getting attempt did lead to diagnosing a biological condition. But at that point the mental health profession became involved and sent us on our way with Prozac. Second attempt the day after they decided to double her meds would have been a success if we had not found her in her room. We had a school counselor wanting to call social services when we refused to try something new after the second attempt. The parents may not always be to blame sometimes the mental health system and the schools take charge and before you know it this happens.
This coming from the city that has had two such students being featured on The Blaze. The dump truck thief was in my daughters elementary. Other daughter sat next to the Craig’s list killer. Oh by the way yesterday we made the news for a kid with a hit list and threatening to bring a gun on Monday. He was suspeneded for 5 days.

I would suggest naming the next big storm Chris, but that’s my name too.
I think he is effeminate enough to be a female too.

Sorry but being a poll judge in Ohio and having to follow the same law as Texas I would have made her cover the shirt up. In response to a lot of the comments on here about the other side following the rules. In 2008 I worked in a very democratic precinct, McCain ended up with 8 votes. There was someone handing out Obama stickers and voters had them on when they came in. I figured I was outnumbered and a majority of people there wanted Obama anyway so I didn’t want to say anything. The presiding judge who was a democrat did inform anyone with a sticker to remove or cover it until they were out of the polls.

I think the comment section is like a car crash. You know it is gonna be bad but sometimes you just can’t help looking. There are things said from the right and left that are disrespectful and offensive to the office of the president(No matter his party) or just other human beings in general. If I was a moderator almost half of what is posted would be probably removed.

“Is this how the people of this site come to conclusions? Not trying to be insulting, but driving through a town and counting signs? Does that make sense to anyone here? Just wondering.”
It made sense to two other buckeyes so by my poll taking standards it makes sense. I guess you don’t understand humor. I was trying to poke fun at the endless polls that all come up with different results depending on how questions are asked and sampling.

My more accurate and scientific poll says Romney will win Ohio. Here are my findings as I drive through the state I see close to 30% more Romney signs then Obama. Plus the amount of houses I assume will go to Romney because they have signs for Josh Mandel or other conservative candidates, I also factored in empty chairs. The city of “Kent” I will call my margin of error. The most liberal city not on a coast has signs 50/50, but i did spot a very big lifeguard chair painted yellow(made my day).
A good observation, Ohio Mom. I see a lot of Mandel signs in yards, but not a lot of Romney signs. Mandel does not draw vitriol (or vandals) as much as Romney does. And I am afraid to put a Romney sticker on, lest someone key my car. It may be a cheap GM beeter, but getting a good paint job is costly.

I am a lifetime Buckeye. Romney owns Ohio. Nothing more needs to be said.
she was saying that her poll is just as reliable as the national and state pollsters...they are always FULL of it and usually get it wrong...even outside their margins of error....they are statical nightmares when looked at scientifically and mathematically.
they under and over sample...
they have no safe guards against false or misleading questions and statements...
they are commissioned by organizations that have agendas and thus want a result favorable to their opinion going in...(much like scientific research today on the issue of Global Warming/Climate Change and Economics)
they are driven by "validity" only in so much as it leads to continuing their client base or adding new clients
so...if I lived in a State...and I saw in my town of 1000 or 10000 or 100,000 that half of the signs said Romney and half said Obama...I would say my town was tied...but if I saw 75% Romney and 25% Obama as I drove around over the last 4 months, then I would say my State was going for Romney ...and Obama if the same was true in his favor...
my sample size would probably be MUCH higher than any of the pollsters and my accuracy MUCH better since "likely voters" and "engaged voters" would be the ones with the signs not just some schmuck that answered the phone and said "yeah I will likely vote this time" but hasn't voted in 20 years.

Justwow yourself into next Wednesday you commie.
Proudohio, sorry...my bad. I didn't realize actually.
Hey JEFFERSONIAN...that is an angry and irrational response to what I said. Lose the anger. It serves nobody. People who hate for the sake of hate never bring about good changes!!

It was not just robbery. He is in my daughters class, she was just talking to me about how no one was surprised when they heard it was him. She said last year when she sat by him he used to talk about ways to kill people.
