Supermarkets are another hotbed of insensitivity. Shouldn’t they be required to put opaque covers over the bacon? Hide the pork chops and hams in a secret “offensive meat room”? And what about vegetarians repulsed by the sight of (OMG) chicken parts? Or little kids who gag when they look at lima beans? And then, to top it off, there’s the soft drink aisle loaded with 2-litre in-your-face bottles of soda containing the dreaded ingredient, SUGAR! In a supermarket, there’s definitely something for everyone to get offended by. Maybe food markets need to be covered with a shroud and a sign that says, “Enter at your own risk. Horrible and offensive products on display.” Or maybe they should all be permanently shut down for their intolerance. On the other hand, maybe it’s just some of us who are intolerant!

The insane often create an alternative reality for themselves. I think you’ve hit upon the problem.

“According to the Times, the president’s advisers maintain that they do not think it would be a good idea for Obama to watch the graphic footage.”
If I were his adviser, I’d say, “Obama, you’re long overdue for a big reality check. Put down the golf clubs and watch this video.”

Wow, Socialist. You still don’t get it. Try harder.
First, despite government subsidies and tax breaks, current U.S. corporate tax rate still makes us noncompetitive in the global market.
Second, corporations and individuals should actually GET SOMETHING in return for taxation. When applied to taxes, “civic duty” is a vague, silly term that promises nothing by way of government services, and in the case of U.S. corporations, mostly means they are paying for rules, regulations, and paperwork that steal their viability and profitability.
Third, providing jobs does not constitute “social responsibility”?
Fourth, how dare you characterize profit-seeking as “craven.” Where do you think your food comes from?! I guess it’s that evil, profit-seeking farmer who toils hard to make sure there’s something for your dinner table plus something extra to supply his own family’s needs.
Fifth, you need to read “Economics in One Lesson: The Shortest and Surest Way to Understand Basic Economics” by Henry Hazlitt. It’s short. Perhaps you’ll need to read it several times before it penetrates.

Obama is what he is–a fake who doesn’t know what he’s doing. And I’m sure somewhere deep inside he knows it too or he wouldn’t feel the need to lie so much.
 July 25, 2014 at 8:02am
It borders on the pathological how frequently Obama offers us fictionalized narratives instead of telling the truth. But since he seems frequently detached from reality, perhaps he’s totally unaware his mother-in-law has been living in the White House for years!!! Better go back to reading the newspapers, Barack. (Even the liberal press would not make a “mistake” this loony.)

You missed Goudy’s point, which was instantly clear to anyone really listening. Hopefully you’ll get it by midterms.

“‘I’m not from Nevada,’ Schultz said.”
No, she’s from Mars, where really stupid excuses are acceptable and no apologies are ever required.
She's not from Nevada but that didn't stop her from making the false assertion

“Nothing was done” could well describe this entire administration which has caused problems instead of solving those we already have.

But it’s not inappropriate to do political fundraisers???
 July 22, 2014 at 8:05am
Who gets the job of running this government gas operation? Since the major doesn’t seems to care if it gets much business (and it probably won’t since a 3-cent price reduction is not worth driving out of one’s way for) It looks suspiciously like political patronage. If I were a taxpayer in Somerset, KY, I’d go out of my NOT to get gas there!
 July 22, 2014 at 7:45am
I’d give an anonymous source as much or more credibility than anything coming from the White House these days, including all those faces with names that Obama trots out to lie for him.

Thought Kerry was just a tad less loony than Biden and Pelosi. Guess I was wrong.
 July 17, 2014 at 8:33am
Good post about a deeply disturbing list of pre-meditated punches to the guts of Americans. And Biden suggests Dems plan to give us more of these punches if given the opportunity! Are they planning to run on “Change” again? By now we should all know what they really meant by it! Liberals are masochists if they fall for this line a second time.
The Democrat diaper is full and that’s what needs to be changed.

I believe Obama’s presidency will go down in history as a tragic U.S. mistake, the result of a very foolish idea by the electorate that a slick but incompetent individual, selected mainly for his skin color, could un-guilt Whites, avenge long-resolved sins against Blacks, and eradicate racial tensions. Time and the unfortunate consequences of Obama’s policies will make it clear to the electorate, Black and White alike, that they have been USED by power-hungry Progressive politicians with selfish motives.

Harry was talking to the illegals. He was saying that it’s secure for them to breach our borders because Border Patrol will not stop them.
 July 9, 2014 at 8:45am
Obama always has time for a beer summit. Someone at the border should promise Obama a few pints. A couple of joints might help too.

I don’t think it was a gaffe when Reid referred to “five white men.” Harry Reid has proven himself to be a creepy, calculating, political creature and frequent user of cheap, outrageous hype. Seems like he doesn’t really care what’s true or false. He just hopes his lie will stick somewhere, because creating racial tension works so well for Democrats and other power-hungry, progressive politicians.
Religious freedom, which applies to all, is more important than the relatively few instances where someone is going to have to pay for their own morning after pill following their own bad decision to have unprotected sex.
