As a physician I suspect a B 12 deficiency due to his surgery and common use of Prilosec like drugs to prevent ulcers. I will bet his Vit D level is below 30 also.

As a third generation medical physician in Florida, I know the overwhelming regulation and bureaucracy that is chocking off good efficient care of patients. Only one of three sons is going into medicine and I am proud of him for a courageous choice. He enjoys research but also rural medicine is appealing.
This Socialized medicine apparatus is more about re-distribution of wealth than good individual medical care. It is not an American Solution. I would propose Compacts between adjoining States to establish enough risk pool and shared medical goals with the ability to locally interact with government officials. Better local control would equal better care. Compacts existed between colonies before the Revolutionary War.

First Human Trials on using Granulocytes from young people that kill cancer cells by transfusion is available at http://www.bmscti.org through Dr Dip Maharaj MD. The South Florida Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant Institute is now running a new clinical trial protocol (08001-BMSCTI) for investigating a novel cancer therapy using transfusions of white blood cells from healthy donors. This investigative new cancer therapy was developed from the exciting research results of studying natural cancer resistance in a unique strain of lab mouse (SR/CR mice) and in some healthy humans.
