Ed Schultz Makes Bold Claim That U.S. Has ‘Never Had a Civilian Stop a Shooting’ — So We Prove Him Wrong

In my home town of Tyler TX a few years back a man involved in a custody dispute, or some such thing, opened fire on his wife and child on the steps of the courthouse. A civilian who lived nearby retrieved his legally owned gun and tried to stop the man. Unfortunately the civilian was killed because the bad guy had a bullet proof vest, but the civilian’s actions forced the shooter to flee and ultimately, if I remember correctly, saved the wife and child. Police later caught up to the shooter and were forced to kill him.
