  • I’m surprised. Shocked, actually. For all of the pit bull haters, isn’t it a bit contradictory that you think the media is completely biased and incapable of producing accurate news, yet you trust them to tell you which breeds are dangerous? This is complete sensationalism. Just like it was with Doberman Pinschers in the 1970′s, and later Rottweilers, and the list goes on….

The media will latch on to that which shocks. http://notesfromthefunnyfarm.wordpress.com/2010/06/24/which-dog-breed-is-most-likely-to-bite-you-might-be-surprised-at-the-answer/.

    Just saying….

  • It seems that every time I read any article on The Blaze that deals with homosexuality, I’m always disappointed with the comments. As a conservative, gay businesswoman I want to agree with you. I think that Christians and conservatives are judged as ignorant or out-dated due to the unpopularity of their views. It has become a disease to take a stand for morality. The media and liberals speak of those who are not for gay rights as if they were lepers.

However, this forum has changed into a one sided argument that demeans and belittles gay people as if they aren’t people at all. I’ve been gay since I was born. All throughout middle school, I played football and softball. As a teenager, I could never understand why I wasn’t like everyone else. I HATE that I am not heterosexual. I’ve cried myself to sleep at night wishing I could just fall in love with a man and get married. I’ve hidden it from my family for years, and will probably continue to do so until I die to save them from the shame.

That being said, I ask just that you remember that not all gay people are for gay marriage. Not all gay people are flagrant, flag-waving, obnoxious liberals who want to push their beliefs onto you. Do not pour hatred on people that you do not know simply because of who they are, but instead, because of what they do.

  • I think that it’s very humorous to read all of these “Christians” congratulating this young lady for her views. These are the views of my family. As a Christian, these are the views of my church. However, do not think for one moment that these are the views of God.

From the moment I was born, I realized that I was gay. I’ve cried myself to sleep countless days and wished it weren’t true. To this day, my parents do not know because I know that it will cause great pain for them. So, to say that homosexuality is not innate is completely and utterly ignorant. It’s an opinion from someone who has never had to experience those feelings. I was created in God’s image regardless of my orientation.

That does not mean that I do not sin as others sin. However, those who point out the immense ungodliness of homosexuality build their religious beliefs on those of the Old Testament. They forget that God has commanded us, above all, to love. It is incredibly difficult to condemn any lifestyle without realizing any transgression made by others is equally weighted with those of our own.

All that I ask is that a moment is taken to really think about what Christianity really means…… Please, love before you condemn.

  • I hate to encourage lawsuit mongering amongst the ranks, but it seems that there could be some legal ramifications for enabling the burglary of the affected homes.

  • That is extremely close minded. As a professionally successful woman, I think I’m able to find near equality without having to trample on the toes of my male counterparts. To say that men suffer because of females who are trying to pursue equality is silly. To be clear, I recognize that there some angry feminists out there who are offensive and insensitive to the needs of men as well. There will be a slim amount of inequity that is natural due to the fact that some women choose by themselves to remove themselves from the workforce to tend to children. There is great beauty in this choice. However, to justify inequity by saying it hurts men is a meager masochistic attempt to cling to what you have.

  • Does not permit is exactly the same as does not allow. I’m quite taken with the way that people speak of rape. The truth is that mean sometimes force themselves on women, and in other instances, women sometimes take advantage of a system that is there to protect them. To say that the female body is capable of reacting in a way that prevents the assault to take place is ludicrous. I think there are many males who are raped in prison that may attest to this fact.

  • All week long I have been patiently waiting for my final exams at Michigan State to be done, so that I could drive downtown and spend the afternoon antagonizing the union members. And finally, that time has arrived.
