JP : Yes. Our ' historic ' Open Border ' president . Another first : Marxist-mentored Barack H. Obama, who also attended a college known as " the Moscow of southern California ," aids his Communist new friends who have created a disastrous economy for the Cuban people. How ? By opening up the floodgates of American dollars through business and tourism ! What a guy ! ( think there is pattern here ! )

I used to pour molten lead into water, neat shapes and lots of fun
I put a still-wet lead casting back into a pot of molten lead that was on my mom's kitchen gas stove. it splattered lead all over the burner, mom was NOT happy.
that was the end of my lead casting in our household.

I was a JFK dem but today all the Rhinos are way left of my stand and i haven’t changed that much.
JOY : Me too. And JFK was a capitalist unlike the current Marxist contingent which is now running the " We Love Comrade Castro " Democrat Party
I just had this same conversation with someone who claimed the GOP has gone to the "extreme right". The fact is that the GOP has not gone to the extreme right. The GOP supports the same principals it has always supported. The truth is that the Democrats have gone so far to the left; have become so accepting of all that was abhorrent only 20 years ago that the GOP looks "far right". I suppose perception is reality but damn I wish people would just stop and think once in a while.
I have never been a Democrat.
But I believe JFK might have made a good President.
I am a Texan, and I believe JFK couldn’t have made a worse President than LBJ.
JFK was a republican in today view
JFK was for:
1. Strong national defense and fighting Communism over there not here. He was actually against Vietnam and had already planned and written orders to withdraw from Vietnam. He was to announce it in his speech in Dallas knowing the it wasn't our fight but he would continue to train and equip the South, which Nixon and Congress stopped in 1973 which lead to the fall in 1975.
2. Lower corporate and personal income taxes and a simplification of the tax code. JFK knew that a rising tide raises all ships not crony capitalism where bribery and lobbying gets you ahead at the expense of another or the People at large.
3. Life was to be protected at all stages and in all places around the planet.
Those three sound VERY Reaganesque.
4. A safety net for the disabled and poorest among us that were incapable of caring for themselves. True Christian Charity with a little help from the government but more in the vein of "faith based initiatives" instead of give'm a check and kick them loose.
So maybe not the most libertarian or conservative in all social issues but something that the people could have agreed on and accepted as necessary. Not this cradle to grave gimme gimme gimme mentality we have now thanks to LBJs War on Poverty Welfare Stare failure of the last 50 years.
That is the Democrat that Reagan was as well when he started his change in 1952 and finished it in 1962. Not over 2 years Donald but 10 and not for personal gain you scumbag.

At this point have ANY of the candidates actually stumped for SHRINKING government? We need a Calvin Coolidge who cut 29% across the board, and it worked!!!
