RJJINGADSDEN and KHADIJAHBINTMUHAMMAD, It’s certainly not irrational to want to feed your kids healthier food. I don’t know what school’s menu you’re looking at, but the new regulations do not MANDATE that canned foods are included in the menu. All the new regulations have done is remedy the ridiculous loopholes like pizza and french fries counting as vegetables. What is served by the schools as a vegetable is UP TO THE SCHOOL as long as it is, in fact, a vegetable. Sounds like the schools you are talking about are underfunded, hmmm…I wonder who could help with that? Remember, public education is socialist…why don’t you just take your kid out of the evil, socialist schools that are “brainwashing” them, then you can feed them all the processed crap you want! FREEDOM

Who do you think are most reliant on school lunches….lower income families. If you have the money, you’re not forced to eat fewer calories, you can just pack your lunch, or buy more than one serving at lunch.

Moochele? Apart from how insulting and non-factual that is, “conservatives” claim to love fiscal responsibility, so I’ll put it to you this way. The obesity epidemic in this country is overwhelming our health system, and the first lady is trying to do something about it by changing regulations in schools, regulations that previously counted pizza and french fries as vegetables. That’s a step forward in my eyes. You can keep feeding your fat-ass kids processed foods at home if you want them to die of heart disease, and get diabetes along with an alarming number of Americans …wait…let me speak your language…”freedom from socialism, small government, moochers, bootstraps”

So no one remembers when Bill Maher did something similar in a southern state (Mississippi? maybe?). He had a reporter go around and ask people why they were politically conservative. No one could answer coherently, and a few were even denouncing “big government” while collecting food stamps. Saying 2/3 of the Obama electorate is like the people in this clip is incredibly insulting, and only furthers my inclination that you watch a whole lot of Fox news and don’t care much for actual facts.

The comments on this website are hilarious. It’s like Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck have brainwashed all of you into thinking there is some pending apocalypse because some people are now getting healthcare. We’ve had socialized education since the beginning of the union. I bet everyone reading this is on some kind of government program or has a family member that is, be it Medicare, social security, guaranteed student loans, the GI Bill…etc.

If you honestly believe that Obama is consciously trying to subvert American ideals and gives a crap about your guns or religion, you are off your rocker.

Look at the facts, do a little research…and for the good of the country listen to something other than rush limbaugh from time to time.
