@RON ~~~ I LIKE your song. Good work. We need to sing it!

I’m an amatuer musician. Here are a couple of my songs that address this situation pretty good. (I know I’m an amatuer, but they’re getting better! The message is very pertinent, though.) Thanks for listening.
thanks Ron, I'm no musician but I am a poet.
You're right about pertinent thought and you are right to keep at it as the only way improvement is ever achieved.
I'll pass on to you something I've noticed in Poetry/Songwriting.
With poets the lyric usually starts the ball rolling, the verse comes first, music arises out of the text.
With musicians they tend to feel the tune first and the lyrics then follow.
Find a poet you like and immerse yourself in him or her.
Try Kipling for a choice, he knew a thing or two about Liberty and its cost.
You will find your lyric flows to the tunes in your head better and better.
In spite of being an amatuer musician, I’ve been told many times the lyrics to my music is profound and the songs well-written. This song “The TakeAway” fits very will with this topic. Thanks for taking a minute to listen. Ron https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edg-8XTldXA
I thought I had most types of scandals covered, but, darn that Obama, he’s creative. (Something Alinsky talked about as being necessary for a successful organizer.) It would probably take a 10 minute song to cover everything, but you get the idea.
