  • Also, if we’re going to assume that entertainers empathizing through art with those who go through with unplanned pregnancies = entertainers being philosophically pro-life, then The Blaze could add Madonna to this list (for singing Papa Don’t Preach) as well as Ellen Page and Jennifer Garner (for starring in Juno). Something tells me those additions would be seen by most as a bit of a stretch if they weren’t directly confirmed by the entertainers themselves or their representatives….

  • Well, Politico inserted a clip from Playboy, who actually interviewed him and stated that he acknowledged he’s pro-choice. Although not a direct quote, it was a paraphrase, and if it was inaccurate I imagine Mr. Chesney would not have been happy about it and would have demanded a correction, which Politico would’ve had to acknowledge. I don’t see any proof from the other side indicating he’s pro-life. Even Huffpo is guilty of some shoddy journalism on that one. Writing a song about a young person who reluctantly becomes a father isn’t a statement of being pro-life. I’m pro-choice and I like that song. I know many people in similar positions and I respect their choices and the sacrifices they made. Being pro-choice doesn’t mean you think abortion is the answer all the time, or even that you condone abortion. If he would have sang a song about the government marching in and strapping the protagonist’s partner to the delivery table, armed with a ******* probe, maybe there’d be a valid reason for the militant pro-life movement to assume he’s of the same mindset.

  • So, Kenny Chesney sings a song about fatherhood and that makes him pro-life? Is Tim McGraw automatically pro-choice just because he sang a that implied abortion? How about you try researching actual interviews? http://www.politico.com/blogs/anneschroeder/0209/When_Obama_talks_about_raising_taxes_on_the_richHes_wearing_a_Kenny_Chesney_Tshirt.html

    Kenny Chesney = Pro-CHOICE, but still a 2008 McCain voter…who’da thought…

  • The Blaze should fact check its own members’ bogus assertions, such as:
An assault rifle was not used at Newtown (put down the conspiracy theory propaganda and look up the medical examiner’s report)
Timothy McVeigh wasn’t a gun nut (the guy is most certainly smiling up from Hell every time one of you tries to use his actions as an argument against gun control. His exact intention, I’m sure)
That the constitution gives any individual the right to play GI Joe with combat weapons. (Things like AK-47s, nuclear arms, etc didn’t exist at the time the constitution was written. It can’t be known whether the founders would have thought individuals had a right to own them, but anyone with common sense would say probably not)

  • That kid looks like he’s on the verge of shooting the place up. The teacher was probably scared. Can’t really blame him. What kind of nut brags on Facebook that he’s holding the same gun used to shoot classrooms full of first graders. Sick.

  • Is it common for Christian fundamentalists to refuse to tip? I only ask because I experienced something really similar to this when I worked as a server in high school. This huge group would come in for brunch every Sunday for after-church brunch. You could tell they all went to the same fundamentalist church by the way they dressed, the fact that each family in the group had 5+ young kids, and that they would make a big scene of praying together loudly before eating. They never tipped a dime. None of them. They also were such a huge group that they literally took up half the restaurant, and multiple sections. They’d stick around for a long time, so the two servers who had their sections occupied literally were not able to earn any more than $2.25/hour the whole time they decided to stay. With all the kids, they also made quite a mess and had many demands, but still no tip. Eventually the restaurant manager told them she’d have to start adding gratuity onto their bill since they were such a large group. After that they never came to the restaurant again.

I don’t get it…is this in the Bible somewhere? I get people not having much money, especially with large families and such, but what’s wrong with a potluck after church if you can’t afford to tip your server?

  • Yeah, organizations that openly condemn and prohibit homosexuality are never infiltrated by pedophiles. Look at the Catholic church. Oh, wait…

  • You forgot my favorite Obama supporter, Charles Woodson. He spoke at an Obama campaign event in Green Bay and announced his donation of 100K to the Red Cross. Standup guy.

  • Ummm, no, you are wrong.

He’s just making fun of conservatives, but it clearly went right over all your heads.

  • But Giuliani still kissed Bush’s a** even after he ignored the “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in the U.S.” memo released just before 9/11. The hypocrisy is sickening.
