Should Mentally Ill Veterans Be Banned From Buying Guns?
December 3, 2012 at 8:00am
The burden of proof should rest on the shoulders of the government to prove that these men and women are a danger to themselves or others. It is ridiculous to force the vet to prove a negative. The simple fact that a service person may or may not be able to manage their own finances has no relevance to whether or not they should own a firearm.
More disturbing is that if this is allowed, it is a very short step to curtail veteran gun ownership rights when vets are being treated for just about any mental health related issue that would normally be considered confidential if being treated in the public sector.
It is so completely clear that the government should NOT be allowed to do this that I am amazed it is even being discussed.

Entrepreneurs Debate: Do You Need a College Degree to Succeed in America? (Poll)
May 8, 2012 at 12:19pm
The lack of a college degree is not going to hold back anyone with talent. Now I have a degree, so that is my personal bias. Lets not limit this discussion to entrepreneurs. I know directors and VPs of fortune 500 companies that do not have college degrees. In the cases I personally know of, the person was hired and simply worked their way up to where they are with everyone simply assuming they had a college degree at some point. They have never lied and said they graduated from college, but their lack of a degree is a closely guarded secret. When the subject comes up, they simply evade the question.

April 29, 2012 at 1:43pm
Did it not dawn on Keith that the reason Kimmel might have wanted him on his show last week is because Kimmel deals in jokes? I mean really, who is a bigger joke these days than Olbermann?
