  • If the liberals are upset, she must be doing something right! Good for her.

  • I’m disappointed. The American people deserve better!

    Fiscal Cliff in Perspective
    U.S. Tax Revenue: $2,170,000,000,000
    Federal Budget: $3,820,000,000,000
    New Debt: $1,650,000,000,000
    National Debt: $14,271,000,000,000
    Recent Budget cuts: $38,500,000,000
Let’s now remove 8 zeros and pretend it’s a household budget
    Annual family income: $21,700
    Money the family spent: $38,200
New debt on the credit card: $16,500
    Outstanding balance
    on the credit card: $142,710
Total budget cuts so far: $385

And this passes for fiscal responsibility! It’s Alice through the looking glass!

I fully believe that the American public cannot comprehend the difference between a million, a billion and a trillion. Maybe this will help:
    1 million seconds = 12 days
    1 billion seconds = 32 years
    1 trillion seconds = 32,000 years

The Federal Government is spending like a drunken sailor. We do not have a tax problem, we have a spending problem. This level of spending is not sustainable. We are about to make Greece look good! What happened to the country that I grew up in? Everything is upside down. We’re spending money we don’t have, giving money to those who don’t work, and punishing those who succeed.

  • Dear Employee (Congress),
I regret to inform you that because your performance rating has dropped dramatically from a high of 84% in 2001 to a low of 10% in 2012, you services will no longer be required.
    Your Boss (the American Taxpayer)

  • U.S. Represnetative Sheila Jackson Lee just said that everything was fine, so what’s the big deal? The economy is improving. Consumer confidence is up. Life is good. Pass me another joint and a few of those twinkies . . . Is this a great country or what!

Buying your own debt, now there’s a bright idea!

For perspective – The Federal Government spends approximately $10 billion a day, and is currently borrowing 46 cents on every dollar it spends. We are running our fifth straight year of trillion dollar deficits. Our National Debt is currently $16 trillion. The Federal Government has not passed a budget since Obama took office and the last budget that the Obama Administration submitted did not receive even one vote from his own party. And no one in Washington cares. We do not have a revenue problem; we have a spending problem! I don’t think anyone in this country that voted for Obama has a clue of how serious our financial problems are. A million, a billion, a trillion . . . it all sounds the same. How bad can it be? It’s only money and we all know that the evil rich people don’t pay enough in taxes so we’ll just tax them until they have nothing left and then we’ll tax some more . . .
