Viral Video: Man Riding Atop the Hood of a Moving Truck Pleads With Others to Call Police — And There’s a Hilarious Explanation
May 20, 2013 at 3:56pm
When I was 14, I would work as a day laborer since I couldn’t get a “job” because I wasn’t 16. I needed the cash for school clothes and figured it was a good way for an underage US citizen to find work. If somebody picked me up and took me to an immigration office after misleading me, I would have pressed kidnapping charges on him. Not even the “righteously indignant” are above the law.
The Pentagon’s Insurgents: David Petraeus and the Rise and Fall of the ‘Coindinistas’

I spent 2 years in Iraq and learned that the bureaucratic and politically correct military is too big to react. For example, I manned a tower as a designated marksman. We also had an M-2. This tower oversaw a checkpoint to stop a potential suicide car bombing. The problem was that we kept getting shot at by drive by shootings from a nearby road. If the tower was rotated 15 degrees, then the M-2 could handle both threats of a drive by and a car bomb. A new check point was “in the works” to being built 9 months later, and the brass did not want to “waste money” modifying the current checkpoint when a new and better one was being built. So instead we let them take pop shots at us and just ignored the threat. When gave $5 to a loyal Iraqi crane operator and had him rearrange some of the barriers and blast walls to better protect us from the threats (we had a porta-john that was vulnerable, too), we got an ass-chewing and had to move the barriers back. It was a shame. We had to take our craps knowing that we could die in a blue plastic porta-john. Oh well, such is the life of a grunt in our “modern” army.

High-Ranking Mexican Drug Cartel Member Makes Explosive Allegation: ‘Fast and Furious’ Is Not What You Think It Is
August 9, 2012 at 10:27am
Why would it be as simple as that? Government weapons would have to be accounted for on the books, and the serial numbers will always track back to the Government. Even if the weapons could be taken off the books, then the funding for those weapons would still have to appropriated. Also, any straight-edge border agent would recognized a government Armalite M-4 or Colt M-16. If the Sinaloa cartel has the money and the desire for weapons, then the government would only have to allow them access to those weapons via (let’s say) a memo to ATF. The argument that American guns are being smuggled into the hands of Mexican drug cartels could still be made if the government simply looked the other way. Fast and Furious could have had more than just one intended result. Also, the Sinaloa cartel is the weakest of the major drug cartels (Gulf, Juarez, Zetas). If a desired result was to maintain a balance, then the Sinaloa cartel would be a good counter-weight.
