  • The theory of a pre-tribulation rapture (not to mention a 7-year tribulation period itself) is the result of a flawed interpretation of the 70 weeks prophecy of Daniel 9.

The flawed interpretation puts the emphasis on a FUTURE ANTICHRIST and not where it belongs, on Jesus Christ (the anointed).

The 70th week is not separate from the first 69 in that there would be a gap of 2000 years between the 69th and 70th week. That is nonsensical. The 70th week follows directly after the 69th (a prophetical week is a literal 7-year period).

That 70th week (last 7 years of the prophecy) begins directly after Jesus’ baptism and ends with the stoning of Stephen and the gospel going to the gentiles. The prophecy was a timetable for the Jewish people to come to accept Jesus as the Messiah. Obviously, as a nation, they did not so the gospel went to the gentiles.

JESUS was the one who put and end to sacrifice and offering (oblation), causing it to cease, in the midst of the week… He did this at the cross. It has NOTHING to do with a coming antichrist. Put the emphasis back on Christ and off of the antichrist and things fall in to place. And the best part is… it’s not even confusing when you look at it that way.

  • Uneducated people on the topic of 7th Day Adventism think that Adventists closely follow the commandments in order TO BE saved. Not so… Adventists realize that we can ONLY be saved by GRACE through FAITH in Jesus, the Son of God. We honor the commandments because we love Jesus. He tells us “If you love me, keep my commandments.”

GOODONE, Jesus was referring to Himself and nobody else when He said:

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

JESUS is the rock… not Peter. Research it. Catholicism is man-made all the way.

GOODSTUFF… Why is it not legalism to respect the other 9 commandments, but it IS legalism (allegedly) to honor the Lord’s seventh-day sabbath? I’d love to hear your reply to this.

  • @THERAPTURECOMES
If you’re going to believe in this theory of a secret rapture, you have to be fair to yourself and answer the following questions:

    1) Is God fair?
    2) is it fair to receive rewards or punishment prior to judgement?
    3) When is the judgement?

You can’t receive punishment OR reward without first having a judgement. Are you saying that the judgement will happen prior to the rapture?

Also, we are told that mortal flesh will not enter the kingdom of Heaven. We need our immortal, glorified bodies to enter Heaven. Christians will not receive these until the last trump, at the Second Coming of Jesus / Resurrection. According tot he “Left Behind” scenario, the hidden rapture and second coming are two separate events. So, how do you reconcile the major contradiction with this theology? It just doesn’t work.

  • THERAPTURECOMES: Please, enlighten us.

    1) I’ve been trying to figure out where this theory of a pre-tribulation rapture is found in the bible. I’m not seeing it. I don’t believe it’s there. It’s manufactured.

    2) How do you suppose the Seventh-Day Adventist Church is a cult? What is it that you know about the church that gives you authority to label them as a cult?

    3) If you’re a Christian, why are you so condemning and judgmental in your views that somehow you have all the answers and anyone who disagrees with you will be “left behind”?
