It’s the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, not Father, son and the Bible. The Bible is the inspired Word of God but it does not contain all God is. John concluded his gospel saying that jesus did many other things that could fill volumes of books. God will never violate His Word but God is bigger than the bible. Typical religious mindeset from people who don’t believe that God speaks today.

Saw this bumper sticker yeaterday: GUNS DON’T KILL PEOPLE, DRIVERS TALKING ON CELL PHONES DO.”

We all know that the Bible says that we will be forced to take the mark of the Beast and forefit salvation or go without the ability to buy and cell. What if it was more than a debit card with gps tracking ability? What if it was a device that was also intended to improve cognitive function? Christians who forsook the mark would not only be deemed religious fanatics but neanderthals for refusing something that had huge benefits. The chip might even be bio-technical. They are already using this technology in the military.

Brought to you by the same people who gave us Evolution.
If global Warming is a fact, then why are reports being manipulated?

The more things change, the more they remain the same. God sent Israel for sacrificing their children through the fire to appease their pleasure god Molech. God will not turn a blind eye to Americans who sacrifice millions of innocents for the reason of devotion to sexual pleasure and inconvenience.

I can’t say for sure but my guess that this is an extension of the emergent church theology that God wants us all to be blessed and prosperous. The problem with this erroneous gospel is it puts the focus on self and what Jesus can do for you. The focus of the Christian faith must always be on Jesus himself. The emergent church parishioner sees Jesus as being in their life to help them build their kingdom. The biblical Christian understands that God is to be Lord of my life and I am here to help build HIS Kingdom on the earth as it is in Heaven.

Don’t be hard in Ministers in general. For every minister abusing his flock and living high off the offering, there are 9 in my shoes. God called me at 36 from my sales job. I make half the income today as a Pastor that I made at my last secular job. I do just fine.

The entertainment based worship is man’s response to the lack of God’s manifest presence and Holy Spirit power in our midst. If I have to choose between attracting people or attracting God, I’d rather have his presence on Sunday. The truth is, that’s a false choice. We can be relevant to people and attractive to God at the same time.

So you are adding people to your church but are you adding people to the Kingdom of God? Methods change but my message must remain the same. The problem in the emerging church (entertainment based, non denominational) is they have attractive methods to younger people but because they are afraid the visitor won’t return if offended, God is diluted and diminished. Repentance from sin isn’t preached, God simply accepts you as you are. The God of love is presented, but where is the God who DEMANDS Holiness and the God of Judgment vs. sin?
Yes, we must be relevant. I beg to differ from point #4, it is ok to offend, as long as I speak the truth in love. Jesus offended almost everybody; his home-town people, the religious community, but 1 time, in Matthew chapter 18, he tells Peter to pay the temple tax, even though as God’s son, he should be immune, “lest we offend them.” Why was Jesus concerned about offending people here when he didn’t care if he offended anytime else? Because Jesus would not let His rights as God’s son to offend. The truth (spoken in love) may offend, my rights may not.

The emerging church is an overreaction to the legalistic church on the opposite side of the road that leads to life. Truth is the casualty.

What do God and Satan have in common? Their preffered method of getting their will done on the earth is through the power of agreement. When people are righteous and do righteously, God has a partner on the earth to work His will through. When people are unrighteous and do unrighteously, Satan has found his partner to work his will in the earth. This President and his administration are not the devil, just his minions through whom the Devil is working and manifesting.

I stand corrected. I dont have to be disagreeable with someone I disagree with.

Witchcraft does indeed abound from D.C., however Galatians 5 lists witchcraft (exercising manipulation, intimidation and domination for the purpose of control) as “fruit of the flesh” and not of the devil. I know you speak in jest but I do agree, there is plenty of the demonic going around as well.

Yes, but Hank HinderGod, er, I mean Hanegraaff, said that the power that the apostles and Jesus had over forces of darkness “was utterly other” to the power we saints have today. Here is a great example of how we invent theology to justify our powerlessness. We see in the book of revelation that the antichrist and the false prophet will be able to perform lying signs and wonders, yet soldiers in God’s army are woefully under equipped or misinformed as to the weapons at our disposal.
Ephesians 1:20-22 shows Jesus seated (resting; His work is finished) in Heavenly places with all principality, power and dominion under His feet. Ephesians 2:6 says that Jesus raised us up and we are seated in Heavenly realms with Him, meaning that Satan is under us as well. If Satan is under His feet and we are His body, that means that the least in the church has the devil under him. This is the authority conferred on EVERY believer from Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20.
The words of Hanegraaff suggesting that believers today don’t have the same power and authority as the Apostolic church clarify what Pastor Bill Johnson was trying to say when he said, “the Holy Spirit is tired of living in the life of unbelieving believers.” Wake up church! We are Ambassadors of Jesus and His Kingdom! Jesus delegated unto us His authority so we could destroy the works of darkness and establish His kingdom in their sted.

Looking at the bigger (spiritual) picture, God is using the gay marriage debate to separate the sincere from the insincere in His church. Just the threat of being arrested or incarcerated will have many Christians deny their faith, just as God said there would be in the last days. When the most popular message proceeding from Evangelical churches today is “God wants to bless you, prosper you and reaffirm you ” we church leaders are setting the church up for a fall. When persecution visits America, most Christians will feel that God, their Pastor and the church lied to them. They will say “I didn’t sign up for this” and walk away from their commitment (the little they had) from God. What remains is HIS church; the remnant, the faithful. Choose you this day whom you will serve!

So, Jade, I surrender my 1st amendment rights if I join the armed forces?

For all the talk of the Rapture having to be a pretrib experience because Christians are spared the wrath of God, the tribulation isn’t God’s wrath, but Satans. God’s wrath on the world isn’t poured out till the very end of the trib; it’s called “the day of the Lord.” Plenty of room there for Christians to taste the trib.

I agree with servant of Yhwh, if we are here when the trib. hits, shallow believers will claim their churches, their Pastors and their God lied to them when they preached prosperity and escapism.

Be careful in drawing hard and fast conclusions, when Jesus came the 1st time, God’s people thought they had it all figured out. Who got it right? 3 secular astrologers from Babylon. No one in “the church” got it right. Are we arrogant enough to think we have His second coming figured out?

In Genesis 28:18, God decreed that man had been given dominion over the earth. In Genesis 3, Satan inherited that control through manipulation. Though he was tricked, man gave control of the earth to Satan. God wants in so he can fix this but Satan has legal right to the deed of the earth. God fpund a legal way in; He sent Jesus, His son, as a man.
Today, both Satan and God work in agreement with men on the earth to get their wills done here. The problem is; more men agree with the Kingdom of Darkness than agree with the Kingdom of light and it’s King. Darkness and the tragedy associated with it is a product of men choosing darkness over light.

All I could do was shake my head the other day when a car passed by me that had a sticker signifying they served in the armed forces. Next to it was a Hillary sticker. I wanted tyo say 1 word to that individual; Benghazi.
