    Pluto’s Pal
” I don’t know, tho, why he didn’t just enlist for another four years and then retire and then get the civil service job.”
He did that to keep his ex from collecting any of his retirement. The whole point being that she cuckolded him, married his ex-best friend, and wanted half his retirement pay for services rendered. A total bitch. And I’m glad it turned out well for him.

I remember that, he was a senior chief, she left him for his best friend also a senior chief. This was reported in the Navy Times. back in the 80′s. Wondered what the aftermath was on that.

    To SkepticsAmongUs
What is an honest dialogue? Teaching how the Bible impacted Western Culture is not a dialogue. It is a history of Western Civilization for both good and bad. To deny such a study is part of the liberal progressives’ agenda to rewrite history according to their dialectic.
Whether you talk about the Roman Catholic church and all it’s affairs, including the persecution of the Cathars and Albigensians and Waldenses to the Protestant Reformation beginning with Wycliffe and Huss and others, these events influenced Western History leading to the birth of America. The Bible was by people to justify deeds both good and bad. It has influenced European languages including English with so many phrases taken from it that many don’t realize they are quoting the Bible when they say them. Many political speeches in America referenced and quoted directly from the Bible. Politicians like to be seen in photo-ops holding the Bible coming out of church in photo-ops to gain votes in up-coming elections. Bill and Hillary did such a thing back in the 90′s.
For many years the Bible was the book used in the American educational system, with primers and other books based on it. The old New England Primer comes to mind.
Did you know that the Supreme Court of the U.S. used to have church services in it’s chambers at the beginning of the American Republic?
Without the Bible, we have no starting point for modern Western Civilization, American or European.

I think that the biggest problem she has is that she didn’t wait for the police to arrive and just drove off. People who shoot in self defense wait for them to arrive. People who murder, move on.

I was engaged to a woman like this. Didn’t have any idea what was going on. The psychological abuse from her was brutal. I was always the bad guy and she was the victim. She was always calm and reasonable in public or with her friends but alone with her it was totally different. I came close to having a nervous breakdown from the relationship. Just glad we didn’t get married. Two weeks after we broke up, she had another guy. Got pregnant by him, had a girl. That relationship didn’t last either. After they broke up. She came back around trying to hook up with me again batting her baby blue eyes at me, gave me her phone number and said call me. I burned the phone number. Should’ve done it in front of her, but I didn’t want to upset her. Women like that are bad news.

It should be noted that the original people of Jerusalem were the Canaanite people called the Jebusites. The city is itself sometimes referred to as Jebus in the Old Testament. And while King David defeated them many still lived in the city during his reign. He purchased a threshing floor from a Jebusite which would become the site for the temple built by Solomon (Shlomo).

I seem to recall that there is a prophecy concerning the number of popes before judgement comes. The next pope is supposed to be the last. Interesting times.

I have no problem with people living in smaller places if it makes them happy. I could do that myself but I’m stuck in the city having to work for a living. A lot of it has to do with what you want in life. Depends on your priorities. Simpler can be better. Sometimes less is more. I think a lot of it may be people’s attempt to get out of the rat race that is modern society. Get away from the noise and smells and tensions of modern man. And yes people like that are more prepared for an economic collapse.

I did not attend it, truthfully I forgot. How is it hypocritical to support Chick-Fil-A?

By the way, how many of you are divorcees and adulterers?

Probably a lot of us. But that’s where forgiveness comes into play. Our rightiousness is like filthy rags to the LORD. Your’s included. None of us are sinless. To call me or anyone else a hypocrite marks yourself as one also. The church is filled with hypocrites, adulterers, murderers. thieves and liars. You should go to a church, I think you’ll find that you fit right in.

Greg Laurie is having a Harvest Crusade on August 26, you should find a church close to you and go.

I disagree, freedom of speech doesn’t come without consequences (many libs think they’re immune to that), and if you do or say something that makes your employer look bad they have the right to fire you. Think of it like being similar to Article 15 in the military, conducgt unbecoming and so forth. And neither Vante or UofA want to take the kind of hits his conduct will bring to them.

I dunno, because they’re cowards? And also you have to remember that they are idealogical cousins who want to stick it to society.

I have to agree about the attacks. Sometimes it feels like I’m reading Daily Kos. Very repugnant at times.

Insulting him doesn’t make you right. The calender of the Jews was given to them by GOD. Based on what I’ve read in the Bible, that’s the one GOD is using. It’s the one Jesus (Yeshua) used. All the prophecies which Jesus fulfilled during HIS time on earth were in done in accordance with the Jewish calender. I’m not jewish, but being a christian I think that if you consider yourself a christian you might want to be more open to what manner GOD works his will. It’s not according to our wishes or times but HIS.

All these people who talk about a gay gene don’t want to own up to the fact that if there were a gay gene, then it is an evolutionary dead end. They want to be accepted as “normal” but insist that they be allowed to give birth through atificial insemination. Which is neither natural or normal. And then adoption so they can shape the children by way of “nuture” into gays and lesbians.

I have to disagree with you about the pilot being a minor funtionary. He is responsible for the safety of the crew and the passengers and the plane. He’s the one who will take the hit from the FAA and the media and anybody else reading the story if something were to go wrong inside the cockpit and passenger compartment. It’s not about a taste of power, it’s about human lives. I’m mot much for flying myself but once I’m in the air, I know that I’m not in charge of anything to do with the flying of the plane. My life is in the pilot’s hands.

Wonder if any guns from Fast and Furious were used in the shooting?

I have to disagree with a lot of people making fun of this. You should read Thoreau’s Walden. This has been going on for years. It’s just growing now. Who needs an overpriced McMansion that you can’t afford and spend the rest of your life paying the bank for when you can have your own home (albeit tiny) for a whole lot less? They even showed Thoreau’s cabin (rebuilt) in the film. The American dream is supposed to be Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. People are finding that going for the biggest and the most expensive doesn’t actually equate to happiness. Just a whole lot of bills. If living in a smaller house (cabin, trailer, shed) and living a simpler life makes someone happy then more power to them. You don’t have to live like that if you don’t want. Sometimes for some people less equals more. Quality over quantity.
