Sad commentary on the state of our liberty in this country when prisoners (“where inmates obviously enjoy fewer freedoms than the general public”) are compared to “free” citizens. And I don’t recall many of these citizens making much of a “stir” about freedoms already lost to the federal behemoth.
"Prisoners are compared to free citizens?" How about free citizens that buy a plane ticket being compared to mass murderer terrorists? For my part I've personally culled from the herd. I don't fly. Works for me.

Illegal voter and long time federal employee who didn’t even know his citizenship status? That’s really all you need to know about this situation which has absolutely nothing to do with the core issues of immigration control. But it speaks volumes about government oversight and vetting of both workers and voters.

HAH, every RIGHT thing we do riles them up………………

Yep; and history has shown that McCarthy was right for the most part. One need only look at all the Marxists/communists/socialists we have in all three branches of government now and the continuing march of totalitarian big government since then to know that we did not heed his warnings.

Nope but am having problems with Explorer 8 which intermittently stops working due to detection of “malicious software”.

“Government worker” is an oxymoron. People work out of enlightened self interest and anyone who tells you different is probably a “government worker”.

Sad turn of events but it seems to me that the Alaska State Troopers probably have better things to do with our time and our money than to prosecute driving without a license in a town with probably less than a few miles of paved road and only accessible by riverboat, air or on foot from any other population center. Shame on the village elders for involving outside law enforcement. Then again, if they had taken the law into their own hands the troopers would have been coming for them. No win situation.

Yep; but they have probably already determined that it is in NO WAY connected to terrorism or any other type of bad guys except perhaps radical extremist conservatives.

The “government” only derives its power from the consent of the governed. If we don’t defend ourselves from those who would do us harm, who will?

Agree, she went up against the Republican establishment in Alaska and stood for principled cooperation with the private companies that are exploiting its God given resources for the benefit of all Alaskan citizens; unlike the liberal progressives whose economic policies benefit only the continued wealth and power of them and their cronies.

Good for Greta! That lady has more guts and common sense than all of the Republican and Democrat establishment senators combined. Greta for Senate! It should be easy enough for her to find one that is easy to beat in any debate on the issues.

As long as the spineless and unprincipled Republican and Democrat establishment run Congress continues to grovel before this lawless and deceitful administration, all the efforts of Grassley, Sessions, Lee, Cruz and the other brave, constitutional government conservatives will produce only more political theatre.

When will enough of the honest citizen representatives from both parties realize that articles of impeachment are long overdue on both Holder and Obama. How much evidence of arrogant disregard for the rule of law, selective law enforcement, lying to the Congress and the American people and overt defiance of the constitutional limitations on executive power do they need.

HAH! “congress shall make no law”…………but this looney tune experiment in NY is getting more funny, ridiculous and sad (all at the same time) to watch every day. No wonder people are voting with their feet.

Hmmmmmm……………Could this possibly have any connection to renewable energy tax credits?

Legislation by bureaucratic fiat has been with us all my adult life and it effectively makes the game of life in America one where the rules are constantly changing and so quickly that the average citizen cannot keep up with it. We are becoming more and more the subjects of the ruling political, regulatory and bureaucratic class rather than the responsible citizens of a free society.
