  Good catch, Steve. Thank God your name wasn’t Marv Thronberry! For those of you who might not remember “Marvelous Marv” as he was known, Thronberry was a hapless first-basement for the recently minted New York Mets back in the mid-sixties. Famously, ‘ol Marv was captured on video tape dropping an easy pop-up near first base in one of the Mets’ typically blundered games during that era. Like I say, Thank God Steve was there below, not the Marvelous One!

  Bob Herbert is a RACIST BIGOT. Among other things, he says: “Every time blacks move into a neighborhood, still whites flee,” Herbert noted without reference or statistic. ”Employment discrimination now is incredible,” Herbert lamented, calling the practice “horrible.” Well, Bob, let’s look at why this might be true. Of course, to you, everything is RACIST, RACIST, RACIST.

  Whites do flee neighborhoods once blacks move in, true enough. I’m sure you live in a very upscale part of town yourself, not in the ghetto, and for very same reasons. Who in their right mind would choose to live around the squalor, the filth, the drugs, the violence, the whoring and every other despicable condition of “the ‘hood” if they had a way out? And as unfair as it might seem on the surface, who in their right mind would want to hire a young black person who is a product of such an environment were thievery and violence is a way of life? Given the choice and opportunity to hire a non-black who actually stayed in school and learned something, who comes to your door statistically more likely to be a productive, honest employee, what would you do Mr. Herbert?

  While there are many hardworking middle class black people struggling to get by in America, there are far too many whiners, complainers and leaches who willingly take the white man’s money in the form of entitlements with one hand while pointing fingers with the other. Mr. Herbert, you are the hater. CLEAN UP
