  When tearing him down because you disagree with his politics is more important than showing respect for the dead, your faith is dead.

  I find some of the comments here very disappointing – I would expect this kind of thing on the Daily Kos, but I would expect conservatives to hold ourselves to a higher standard.

  I disagreed with his politics, but Andy Griffith was a great actor, and his passing should be mourned regardless of your political beliefs. The Andy Griffith Show is one of the best parts of American television history, and I believe stands as one of the best television shows ever made.

  But even regardless of that, please engage your brain before posting some moronic hate-filled comment. The man just died. Show some respect for that reason, if for no other.
