I think we’ve passed the threshold of salvagability at this point- When 1/2 of the nation are takers and entitlement lackies. I’m afraid for the the other responsible half especially considering the apathy that is and has been settling in for years. I wish I could feel some optimism, but with continual cuts in our freedom and way of life by those in power positions (on both sides of the political fence, I might add…) I just don’t see much hope right now. I think the phrase, “It’s gonna get a lot worse before it gets better” applies to this period of our history. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll keep fighting the good fight, but the realist in me says the truth of the situation is inevitable.

I applaud this teacher and others like her! Able to look at teaching as more than just a federally mandated script that has to be followed to the letter. I wish every child could have teachers like this girl has. You can tell if this girl didn’t enjoy her class and teacher she wouldn’t have even attempted this- Thank you, Miss Mech for creating a safe environment for children to be themselves and not berating them for expressing themselves- You Rock!

I just hope we don’t see her all over the news in a couple years saying that she welcomes the death penalty and then pleading for a life sentence. In all seriousness- I hope she gets embarrassed enough as a result of this negative publicity and decides to screw her head on a little more tightly. She is attractive (I’m looking at the 2nd picture), but that will only get her so far in the real world and I hope she doesn’t turn to prostitution as someone else here mentioned.

Good luck, Mia!!! I’m in northern Utah and wished I could of voted for you from here. I think, more of the apathetic voters will jump in next round and get you over the hump you need to win! You were one of the few candidates in utah that truly impressed me as a genuine conservative. I’ll be rootin’ for ya!

Is there not a single democrat politician that is attractive? I mean, yeah, it sucks that we’re being led down the road to destruction by these hypocritical communists, but couldn’t they at least appoint (or even find) one that is mildly attractive to dull the edge off the continuous cuts we keep receiving from their party? It’s a bizarro world when the stupid ugly people are calling all the shots and the beautiful intelligent people are following like sheep to the slaughter.

I know exactly what you’re feeling- I remember growing up and being raised to be considerate of those around me, without exception. Now, I try to mix my upbringing with a little common sense in raising my own children- I teach them to take care of themselves first before worrying about others and to be selective in whom they reach out to help. It’s sad to have to think and act that way, but reality is getting frustrating and the short term memory of history is so obvious in our culture. I feel it very important to teach our children survivalist skills (Hunting, fishing, martial arts, marksmanship, actual history, etc…) because once the poop hits the fan- the ones left standing will hopefully turn things around and have the skills to do so. Just remember, you’re not alone and that the easiest choices are not always the right choices- You ARE NOT the “wacko”.

I was just about to give him the benefit of the doubt until you mentioned he’s a fan of Ellen Degeneres….

Do you always stumble through life with your eyes closed?

And, now, the kids that went to the swing sets and jungle gyms are making up false ad campaigns to try to take away everyone’s fun! Tell me I’m wrong! lol

A lot of misleads and misrepresentations in these “so-called” ads- The biggest that I see is the statement that any of these items have been banned “in America”. I’m not sure where in America they are talking about? I can get any of these items at any time. My children could buy two of the items at any time (legally, I might add). The bookstore and the sporting goods store are both in America, so I’m not sure what these ads are talking about? We can take it a step further and look at schools in America and I only know of one of these items that would be banned from schools. I asked my kids and they reaffirmed what I already knew, that, yes, “Little Red Riding Hood” and “red rubber balls” are still alive and well in their schools and have not been banned from their schools and amazingly enough their school is “in America”.

This outright lying and hysteria needs to stop, it’s all getting very obnoxious and tiring.

You’re all analyzing this video too much- It’s just funny and good comic relief for all the pent up frustrations this election has brought on. By the way-Romney IS going to win so lighten up a little. November 7th will be like an early Christmas this year!!!

Ann was being generous, at best. I get a kick out of the thin skinned folks out there that are going to somehow equate this word or comment to the mentally challenged or special needs groups. What a bunch of rubbish! I hate the term “politically correct” as well- what an oxymoron! You go, Ann!!! Say it like it is and don’t apologize for the truth, ever.

I just called and spoke to the receptionist at the school and she verified that yes, this is indeed a true story and that the administration was taking care of the situation. I told her that I would just like to put in my 2 cents and say that it is reprehensible that a teacher would treat a student this way for showing support to a political candidate. She said she would pass the message on.

This is the website for the Charles Carroll High School- Although, I do not see a female mathematics instructor listed. Perhaps her name has been temporarily removed from the faculty list?
