  I’m glad our reps listened. Now let’s get rid of the IB WORLD SCHOOL! When I moved back to TX a couple of years ago I noticed that designation on the side of my old high school and it sent a chill through me. But, no one I knew could tell me what it meant. After much digging I read how one of my own school district’s junior high schools (grades 7,8 & 9) welcomed a representative from Al Jazeera into their classrooms–as part of an advanced foreign language class. In the IB they teach Mandarin, Hindi and Arabic… (I know a teacher who took the tack with me that Al Jazeera is ‘just another news outlet’. We don’t speak much any more.)
  Yes, the IB program is voluntary but, it is aimed directly at the best & brightest students we have. They promise to make them more successful “global citizens.” The phrase, “Global Citizen,” should chill every American and every Texan to the core, but I find most people have no idea of it’s meaning.
  Texas schools once topped the charts on every possible subjects. Once we started the standardized testings, it all went to hell because everything became about the test–if it’s not on the test, you don’t learn about it. Makes me awful glad I grew up when I did…and WHERE I did. (TEXAS) I agree that we should have some kind of test before you can move to Texas. DO YOU BELIEVE IN FREEDOM?   EEW–I don’t think I’ll ever feel clean again–I went to CNN to read their story about this poll and got into the comments section. Unfortunately, there are still MANY cult believers who are convinced WE are the evil ones. It’s pure, blind hatred, and it’s frightening. I fear those souls are lost forever–it’s too late to save everyone. We’re on the Titanic and it’s going down…who do you save?
