If you mean God isn’t an American (or whereever you live), you’re right.

I wouldn’t want to have to arrive at legislation that would naturalize God, in your sense of the term.

Or maybe, just maybe, you’re an alien to God. Ever consider that? And does that bother you? It would bother me, to know I’m completely unaware of what/who my creator is.

That relationship is the important one.

I’m a systems engineer by profession–I develope sophisticated Internet systems. And believe you me, you folks have no idea how intricate and complicated it gets.

Yet what I do pales…I tell you PALES, in comparison to the sophistication and complexity of the Universe. There is absolutely no comparison.

So before you go looking at the downside, remember this–if it wasn’t someone with an amazing level of intelligence that put it in motion, it all happened by itself. Those are the only two options. And do you realize what that means–”by itself”? Yet even as smart as man is, he cannot even construct a simple tomato seed that grows.

So man, with all his great intelligence, can’t do something as simple as that.

BTW–results from the latest CERN tests indicate the “Natural” argument for the universe isn’t supportable. So much for something most of you “deniers” can’t wrap your minds around. Or you can go on without lifting a finger to find out what’s up, but doing so is what you’ve been doing up until now. So slither on (as befitting your perceived origin).

Sorry, Rowgue–that’s no rock! I’ve been a geologist for 40 years and have never seen any rock like it, and the chances of a blob of lava or fracturing or any other geologic process making such a shape is so unlikely it isn’t worth discussing.

Hey, Charley–scroll up and read my rebuttal to Bruce P’s inane comment.

Same goes for you–if you think you’re so smart, disprove the null hypothesis regarding Global Warming.

Fact is, a recent study has just set CO2 back 100 years as the main cause of global warming–perhaps even longer.

Because the study shows the increase in CO2 since 1940 has NOT behaved more as a “warming blanket” as so many in the CAGW crowd assert. It has made no difference at all; there is no “warming blanket” effect!

Instead, I’ll offer something more implicit–a redefinition of the four letter acronym “CAGW”: It really means Catastrophic Anthropogenic Genocidal Warmistas.

That’s right–anybody that’s bought into and pushed the policies of the CAGW is a Genocidal Warmista, because that’s what’s been happening to really poor people around the globe–death by starvation and disease.

I’d say those people are criminally liable, and if you’re one also, well–you’re a criminal too.

You sound so sure of yourself, Bruce P. You have all that sciency stuff all figured out, eh? Well, chew on this:

CO2 is supposed to act as a blanket, keeping the Earth warm each day as the sun goes down. Well, somebody has tested that hypothesis with a boatload of data–using some 109 million daily samples from 1940 to early 2011.

You see, a researcher by the name of Mike Crow took all the NCDC temperature data and analyzed whether, in the last 60 years, nighttime temperature declines had been impacted by additional CO2 we’ve seen since 1940. And you know what he found?

The daily temperature decline is the same as it was in the 1950′s! Yup–no difference now than it was when CO2 was a lot lower.

So you realize what that does to your argumentative AGW meme, right Bruce? It DESTROYS it.
