    Yes, it does.

He’s also right about God, too.

    Not so much.

  • May 31, 2013 at 12:40pm

If you mean God isn’t an American (or whereever you live), you’re right.

I wouldn’t want to have to arrive at legislation that would naturalize God, in your sense of the term.

Or maybe, just maybe, you’re an alien to God. Ever consider that? And does that bother you? It would bother me, to know I’m completely unaware of what/who my creator is.

That relationship is the important one.

Look in the mirror, Encinom–you either were “sourced” from a higher power, or your ancestors slithered out from under a rock (and that’s after they came from primordial goo); it’s your choice.

Or if the mirror doesn’t work for ya, look at the stars on a cloudless night–and consider what you see is such a small fraction of the total it might as well be nothing.

But I perceive I’m wasting my time with you.

    …which are still “inteligently designed”.

I’m a systems engineer by profession–I develope sophisticated Internet systems. And believe you me, you folks have no idea how intricate and complicated it gets.

Yet what I do pales…I tell you PALES, in comparison to the sophistication and complexity of the Universe. There is absolutely no comparison.

So before you go looking at the downside, remember this–if it wasn’t someone with an amazing level of intelligence that put it in motion, it all happened by itself. Those are the only two options. And do you realize what that means–”by itself”? Yet even as smart as man is, he cannot even construct a simple tomato seed that grows.

So man, with all his great intelligence, can’t do something as simple as that.

BTW–results from the latest CERN tests indicate the “Natural” argument for the universe isn’t supportable. So much for something most of you “deniers” can’t wrap your minds around. Or you can go on without lifting a finger to find out what’s up, but doing so is what you’ve been doing up until now. So slither on (as befitting your perceived origin).

Especially a liar that needs an off-the-record meeting to tell them he’s not a criminal.

I wonder if they laughed (knowing he was fooling them again), or groaned (realizing they’d been deceived before and likely will again)?

  • May 31, 2013 at 12:06am

Sorry, Rowgue–that’s no rock! I’ve been a geologist for 40 years and have never seen any rock like it, and the chances of a blob of lava or fracturing or any other geologic process making such a shape is so unlikely it isn’t worth discussing.

  • May 22, 2013 at 11:58am

You mean the coverup of the crime?

  • May 21, 2013 at 2:14am

That can change within the hour. Just depends on his Depends.

  • May 18, 2013 at 5:35pm

Hey, Charley–scroll up and read my rebuttal to Bruce P’s inane comment.

Same goes for you–if you think you’re so smart, disprove the null hypothesis regarding Global Warming.

Fact is, a recent study has just set CO2 back 100 years as the main cause of global warming–perhaps even longer.

Because the study shows the increase in CO2 since 1940 has NOT behaved more as a “warming blanket” as so many in the CAGW crowd assert. It has made no difference at all; there is no “warming blanket” effect!

Instead, I’ll offer something more implicit–a redefinition of the four letter acronym “CAGW”: It really means Catastrophic Anthropogenic Genocidal Warmistas.

That’s right–anybody that’s bought into and pushed the policies of the CAGW is a Genocidal Warmista, because that’s what’s been happening to really poor people around the globe–death by starvation and disease.

I’d say those people are criminally liable, and if you’re one also, well–you’re a criminal too.

You sound so sure of yourself, Bruce P. You have all that sciency stuff all figured out, eh? Well, chew on this:

CO2 is supposed to act as a blanket, keeping the Earth warm each day as the sun goes down. Well, somebody has tested that hypothesis with a boatload of data–using some 109 million daily samples from 1940 to early 2011.

You see, a researcher by the name of Mike Crow took all the NCDC temperature data and analyzed whether, in the last 60 years, nighttime temperature declines had been impacted by additional CO2 we’ve seen since 1940. And you know what he found?

The daily temperature decline is the same as it was in the 1950′s! Yup–no difference now than it was when CO2 was a lot lower.

So you realize what that does to your argumentative AGW meme, right Bruce? It DESTROYS it.

Here’s the link if you want all the info:

Now, about you dissing Palin, I’d say YOU are the “scientifically illiterate moron”. Of course, that presumes you’re even a scientist to begin with, but if you believe CO2 is warming the earth, I’ve got bad news for you–YOU’RE WRONG.

Glad I could be of service, Bruce. Have a good day!

Looks like you came across as an idiot, Ranger.

And the same goes for Encinom.

Of course, without stupidity on this site, there’s be nothing to talk about because logic isn’t that interesting.

  • April 16, 2013 at 12:14am

No, RNM—Matthews brought it up and it’s time we tamp it down.

Matthews’ ratings must be in the toilet, because that’s where we always find his dialogue.

Two years ago when silver was going up, my boss (who was invested in silver and hence interested in his investment’s “value”) would tell me something like: “Ah, today silver is up to $38 an ounce” and my response would be: “No, today the dollar is down to 38 an ounce–you see, silver never changes–it’s the same ounce day after day. The same is obviously not true about the dollar.”

You can’t pump $85 Billion/mo of “QE infinity” money into the economy forever (that’s what the “infinity” on the QE means) and not have it impact the value of the dollar–to believe otherwise is to deny mathematics.

  • April 13, 2013 at 8:37pm

No, Random–killing a baby in its mother’s womb can get a homicide charge filed against you–so the fetus doesn’t have be be what you consider to be a “baby” for the pepetrator to get charged with murder.

You should do some investigation into the subject before making unsubstantiated comments.

I’m betting you’re no more scientist than I am Liberal. You’re the one who has swallowed the “watermelon” line on the climate meme hook, line and sinker (how does it feel to be no brighter than a fish?). It has now been over 16 years with no statistically-significant warming and with the sun going quiet, we could all be facing another Maunder Minimum. Don’t know what that is?–hey, fish are excused, but they do swallow just about everything their “watermelon” masters feed them.

The truth is the CAGW idea (it doesn’t rise to the level of a hypothesis) is being touted by people who are themselves Catastrophic Anthopogenic Genocidal Warmistas–they’ve caused the death of millions of humans because of their disastrous policies about life’s most effective atmospheric fertilizer–CO2. Plants are growing much better than they were just 50 years ago (foodstuff production up 15%, trees growing 30% faster). So if you want to align yourself with a bunch of Genocidal Warmistas, that’s your problem, fish.

The rest of us will use the scientific method to weed out all the propaganda you CAGW are tossing out.

  • April 9, 2013 at 12:59am

Great idea–let the Progressives finally admit they’re a bunch of Marxists (although nobody with half a brain ever doubted it).

  • April 9, 2013 at 12:58am

Exactly. As a business owner, I’m unlikely to hire any of these people. Nothing they study aligns with the job descriptions I post.

  • April 9, 2013 at 12:52am

It doesn’t matter which party “has” the White House, dude–Progressives in both parties are running up the national debt to the point your grandchildren will be living in a 3rd-world country.

And you’re so clueless you’ll be wondring what happened. Welcome to brainless Progressivism.

  • April 4, 2013 at 9:42am

@ Dr. Vel–then quit wasting time responding. Put it to better use (Notice I wasted just a minute pointing out your time wasting).

  • April 4, 2013 at 9:39am

@SendTheMeteors: You make another series of unsubstantiated observations after claiming the photo is fake.

From your hatred of Republicans, I’ll assume you’re a Democrat spewing typical DNC talking points. The real polluters are found in countries that embraced the Democrat/Marxist approach, such as in the former Soviet Union with their environmental rape of their satellite nations (now trying to cope with monumental hazardous waste sites) and China with it’s version of “Crony/State Capitalism”, which pays slave-level wages on top of being top polluters.

But your statement “who cares about unborn babies” is the most hypocritical thing I’ve seen in print. Remember Sandy Hook with the horrible slaughter of 20 innocent children? It caused a national outrage and rightly so. But what if there were 150 Sandy Hook massacres a DAY, killing 3,000 innocent children (20 x 150 = 3,000)? And what if it continued every day of the week, week after week, month after month, year after year? It would constitute ghastly genocide, wouldn’t you agree?

But that is EXACTLY what the Democrat/Marxists support and even revel in—because each year, 1.1 million babies are slaughtered by abortion (that’s over 3,000 a DAY!) in the US. You “Pro Choice” Democrats/Marxists are actually “Pro Death”–that’s the real consequence of your “Pro Choice” position.

You can criticize others all you want, “Send”, but yours are by far the most evil, hypocritical
