  About the drugs thing:

  As people become addicted to drugs, they loose much of their adult “maturity” & much of their “Morality”, because as they become slaves of those substances, they tend to do anything immoral to get to them…

  They become like teenagers (children) SOMEWHAT, and not adults that we can really trust & depend on, for the drugs are their masters.

  Drugs also negatively affect these people’s bodies & brains, and because of that, they don’t go too far economically; and in a gov such ours, they become much of the time dependent of “We The People”
  through gov welfare programs.

  I don’t think its rational for us to pay for their care and at the same time motivate them to continue using drugs, by making it easier for them to buy’em. That’s completely irrational.
  So, yeah, lets legalize drugs only when “We The People” will not have to pay for their gov welfare, but for now, NO.

  Unfortunately Ben Franklin was right when he said:

  “Only virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more NEED of masters.”

  I just figured out that until this gov & society is morally fixed, I’m a (non-progressive) Republican libertarian.

  Some people is so culturally uneducated! This guy “doesn’t understand” that Christmas is also a day to celebrate the birth of a man, whose teachings have profoundly influenced the creation of our Republic (if you like the freedom you enjoy in this nation,, be sure to also thank Christ for that!). Regardless of one’s belief in the divinity of Christ, Christmas is also a celebration of gratitude for Jesus the teacher, just as there is a Martin Luther King day, etc…..(and yes, there is a war against Christianity & the freedom loving teachings it promotes) .   What this father did is “ANTI-Everything Christ taught him about loving his fellowman”, specially his son! I have a gay adult child. Me and my husband belong to the LDS Church , a Christian religion that DOES NOT approves gay marriage, but approves us to love all human beings (including gays) UNCONDITIONALLY. We live by these principles. Our son come and visit us many times, we don’t talk about sex with him, but everything else we do, and we always have a wonderful time! He is such an amazing, good, descent, gentle and loving human being! We have such a great time together, because he’s still the same person he has (pretty much) always been. Some people need to get a grip with their perverted minds when thinking about their kids. If this father didn’t think about sex when he thought about his son, maybe he wouldn’t do what he did…

  I am trying to figure this out. Can you help me?…
  Can you explain to me how the rich paying the same taxes as everyone else hurts jobs? I thought ANY money the rich uses to pay employees or building up his business is tax deductible! (so that money will not be taken/taxed away from him). Now, any EXTRA money he makes (Money that’s not used for business purposes) -shouldn’t it be taxed the same for everyone – including the rich themselves? Tell me if I am wrong. I am a conservative business owner , and I’m very confused in this matter.
