The filibuster is uncivilized and unsportsmanlike.

Until the Democrats are out of power and they want to sue the filibuster.

This is a victory. Teens like to rebel. They like to think they are smarter than their parents and the system. In this case the system are the schools and the teachers.

It is a very easy to rebel against people who teach you demonstrably false science. Models predict with a certain measure of certainty or they don’t. These don’t. To carry on the charade the teachers would to have to not teach statistics, computer science, the scientific method and so many other things.

Robert Heinlein said as much in his novels.

On another note I see that TheBlaze is censoring posts. Brasil2520 has had all comments erased. Yet a person who compared Timothy McVeigh to the Tea Party is still posting. All the said when they were called out is you found me out, back to smearing Republicans. You have to wonder about the staff.

    @ The Monk

Margaret Thatcher said the same things as Mayor Daley. Don’t hold a vote until your straw poll shows that you are going to win.

Margaret Thatcher was just a grocer’s daughter from the working middle class. Yet she did a better job of predicting the outcome of economic & political policies than many an economist.

    @ Redfish

I had a grandfather that worked pouring cement, framing houses & laying shingles (plus hot roofs). He shingled large churches also. I was properly impressed, but not so wise as to ask detail like how and about safety. So I very much want to hear your answer.

A few good links would be nice. I look a lot of stuff, but of late I am finding google to be very labor intensive with their advertising & suspect search algorithms

What about Jews in this country, Israel & Iran? Many Jews in this country have much in common with many Christians. They are religious in name only. They want the synagogue and church there for wedding, funeral & coming of age. They also like the general morality (do not steal, lie & murder) advocated by these religions but don’t give much thought and can’t rigorously reason from Judeo-Christian morale principles to policy. They spend more time reading about liberal morality & policies than about Judeo-Christian morality and policies

“you run a steel wire rat line the length of the roof pinnacle tied into the rafter system”

That would work until you have the plywood in place over the frame, but then what. From your response you are a contractor and would appear to know much more than me on this subject. But since you are answering and I am not having to pay you like a consultant, where do you anchor the rat line when you put the last row of plywood (or the last row of shingles) near the peak?

I always played around contraction sites. You memorized the the whole sequence of events. People working was cool.

Where would the anchor point for the roofer be located?

I love watching the History channel series Vikings. I respect the culture and have extensively read many of the Sagas. But I would not advocate going back to it or trying to reconstruct the religious traditions.Trying to reconstruct Norse or Germanic religious traditions is as batty as Wicca or Scientology.

One additional criterion for a voting districts if there are several choices is to opt for the set of compact districts that change existing boundaries the least.

Socialism is like anthropomorphic global warming (AGW). You have to scare people into accepting the lie before the evidence becomes clear.

Voting districts should be convex & compact. Voting districts should not look like a snake or a Rorschach test. If population in a region is fairly stable then congressional & state voting districts should be fairly stable. In the very long run if success is determined by voting districts, a political movement is relying on political economy to buy people’s votes with their or other’s money exactly as Alexis d’Tocqueville predicted.

“The American Heritage Dictionary defines gerrymandering as the act of “dividing a geographic area into voting districts so as to give unfair advantage to one party.” The problem of gerrymandering has led to the development of several mathematical measures of shape compactness, some of which have been used in court cases to argue for or against the legality of congressional redistricting plans. In this talk, we will show how the notion of convexity can be used to detect irregularly shaped districts. We will explore both theoretical and empirical aspects of this convexity-based measure of shape compactness.”

What happens to an incompetent RINO in the Senate?

They kick him upstairs to governor of his state so he can make a bigger mess.

“There needs to be life on the street. People have to walk around and feel like there’s energy, then it encourages investment, it encourages entrepreneurs.” – Mike McCormack

When the president of the United States engages in war, polemics, against half the country, many people are not encouraged. They are discouraged.

All it takes is a President like Ronald Reagan to say “Morning in America” and mean it along with a Congress to lower the tax rate while sunsetting write offs. There are no loopholes n the tax code. To call a tax write off a loophole is the language of war. It is polemics. It literally is borrowing military terminology. A loophole is a hole cut in a wall to facilitate shooting. Every write off / loophole was put into the tax code by Congress and since the the 1930s Congress has been dominated by the Democrats. They are the ones who have put most of the write offs/ loopholes into the tax code

We need another Ronald Reagan; we can ill afford more Obama.

    % Democrat
    House of Representatives = 92
    Senate = 84

Governor Lincoln Chafee was a Rockefeller Republican, read RINO, before he went completely nuts & became an independent

Tough times for the Democrat Party. They are not controlling the message if stories on the Labor Force Participation Rate outweigh puff pieces by the liberal media on the contrived U3 statistic.

The Democrats only have a few things going for them, Bernanke’s printing presses, the liberal media and their willingness to use force (much like the Mafia).

Inflating the money supply won’t last much longer. There are stories detailing the reason why.

Look up “Temporary regulations regarding the Jews” or May Laws

“The repressive legislation was repeatedly revised. In 1887, the educational quotas were tightened down to 10% within the Pale, 5% outside the Pale, except Moscow and St. Petersburg which were held at 3%. For many towns in the Pale with significant Jewish population, this resulted in half-empty schools and a number of potential students forbidden to enroll. Many students were unable to complete their education on the soil of their birth.” – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_Laws

Liberals have quotas against white people right now. Just change the names or the peoples & the counbtry. Today’s liberals would have been anti-semites back in the day. Liberals are anti-semites now. Liberals today are anti-semitic & anti-white.

Today’s liberals would have done very well in NAZI Germany.

Why would a male duck leave its’ male partner to be with its’ new partner, a female duck? The original homosexual pairing was because of scarcity.

Sex ratio is factor determining how many people will be gay in a population. Family planning is more than just aborting inconvenient babies and adjusting family size.

Homosexuality activity does not always appear to be genetically determined but a choice.

Homosexuality, what is it good for?
