  Obama has so smug in that press conference. He got 50.5% of the popular vote. What a clear mandate to raise taxes on the rich. Don’t kid yourself, everyone who is working will be paying higher taxes. Some of them will be hidden in other stuff like gas prices, cell phone bills, ect. Doesn’t he realize it will do no good to raise taxes if spending isn’t controlled. Fewer people working, fewer people paying taxes.

  At first I was almost physically ill at the election results, but now I am almost glad. Obama will be given another 4 years to prove to everyone what a good job he can do with the economy. My husband is one of the uncounted unemployed. He wants to work but can’t find a job. We can’t sell our house because the housing market is flat and our house is worth less than we paid for it. Our savings and retirement are tied up in the stock market and have lost half its value. So basically we are screwed.

  I was glad to see that many of the layoffs were in states that went blue like VA, CO and FL. Maybe some of the Obama supporters can join us in our misery.
