  • Why is this news? You clowns at Blaze just throw up as much inflammatory stuff as you can. Get out of here.

  • Suck it up, boot. You’re not special just because you graduated boot camp. Don’t make yourself a martyr when you’re not. Wear the cap and gown and be thankful you can graduate.

  • John,

You can call my use of idolatry as caustic if you want, but you’ve done nothing deal meaningfully with why I chose to use that word. The context is not an ad hominem against you, but rather, the idea and argument that you are supposing that somehow an archaic word not associated with God’s attributes are somehow inherently or representatively sacred or reverent.

  • Sutton: dead on, man. Dead on.

This KJV Only crap is just unreasonable. Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic… they all have semantical ranges and passive, inferred, hyperbolic, intended, blatant meanings within multiple contexts just like a letter from you or I would. How much would be lost if you translated my letter to a dear church into French, or worse, Mandarin?

  • What about someone who knows the law and is asserting their rights and refuses to comply with an unlawful order? Who is right and wrong in that case? I’m sorry, but our people are jacked up in the head if they think that this won’t be twisted to suit the power of the elites (some of them being police officers). That is human nature.

  • Ahhh… I see. This is a KJV Only thing…

That makes sense. Please disregard my attempts at reasonable argument.

They take out the blood…. get out of here, man. You referring to Colossians 1:14, no doubt, where your ilk would have “by His blood” added? It wasn’t included until the 9th century in the manuscript tradition.

  • [Sigh] The King James Version of the Bible was intended to be a didactic tool for the people of England… easily understood and in their own tongue. Greek Koine (the language in which the majority of the New Testament Scriptures are written in) was a language of contracts… easily spoken, written, and understood by Romans, Greeks, Jews, etc.. and the common man. What does that tell you about God’s intention for the proliferation of His Word? Let’s stop this foolish elevation of words because we like the feel and sound. God is NOT concerned with that idolatry. He is concerned with obedience to His command to repent and believe in the Name, work, and sovereignty of Jesus Christ. Does “y’all” carry the meaning intended? Yup. No problem here. Start changing to intended meaning of a word, though, and I’m right with you.

  • “People keep asking me why I did it?”
Because you’re a boy, young man. That is okay and perfectly normal.

  • I know that there’s two sides to this story and this young man may have priors and that “body language” actually could be a proper reason for taking this kid down, but I’ll tell you what… this smells like a monster bowl of Bravo Sierra. The kid had a 6 week old PUPPY, not a stick, knife, or gun. It sounds to me like they just got ****-hurt that a black kid wasn’t listening to them.
