  • After hearing so much about gun owners and how they know how to use their guns, I just have to chime in here. I am an NRA firearms instructor, and I get alot of folks in pistol and rifle classes that have either just purchased a firearm or are just getting back into shooting. Sadly, many of these people are not proficient in the use of their guns. By proficient, I mean being able to handle a firearm safely, either by being able to hit the target consistently or by not being able to manipulate the gun effectively. My first concern is to teach safe firearms handling, secondly to be able to consitently hit a target. Just this morning, I heard on the news that at two seperate gun shows yesterday, there were accidental discharges of firearms. (Bet they didn’t know they were loaded). The ONLY time a firearm should be loaded is when use is imminent (such as at the range, while hunting, or having a loaded firearm on your person or in the home for protection). If you have a firearm, KNOW THE RULES OF SAFE GUN HANDLING, and join a gun club to PRACTICE the skills required. Don’t be one of these people that give the anti-gun crowd a reason to point fingers at us. There is also an old saying that familiarity breeds contempt. Even if you’re an “Old Hand” with firearms, don’t lull yourself into a sense of complacency. You can literally shoot yourself in the foot, and figuratively shoot fellow gun owners in the foot.

  • Hey Obama and all you Liberals, you can think of these petitions as a poll. And you had better listen. The American people are sick of being told what to do and where to do it by an inept, corrupt, bloated government. Wanna know why their sick of you?? Dictating to religions how they must behave and what they can believe, (sounds like loss of religious freedoms to me), while promoting another religion as “The Religion of Peace”. Taking our Social Security money and wasting it on useless social programs, and then moving the goal posts on when we can retire. Taking away our choices in health care and then increasing those health care costs. Passing laws that infringe on our very civil rights (The Patriot Act comes to mind). Oh yes, and then telling us “Hey, it’s not your country anymore”. I can’t think of anything more divisive than the current administration and their lying allies in the MSM!

  • I see they’re flying the “Union JackA#%!

  • These days, it is very important to watch what you post on facebook. It doesn’t matter what job you have, a facebook posting that can show your employer in a negative light can result in disciplinary action or dismissal by the employer. This guy made a public statement on facebook that was by all accounts activist and one-sided, and his name was associated with his employer. He then had to face the consequences of his actions.

  • I guess they sure fooled Walter (The Libearl) Cronkite back then! He never retracted his belief we landed on the moon!

  • I have talked to a good friend in the DC area, a retired Marine of high integrty, who knows Kenneth Melson, and he has nothing but good things to say of his honesty and integrity. Melson is a fall guy to be sure, and being an “Interim” director, he was possibly attempting a balancing act between what he knew to be wrong, and towing the “Company Line”. In DC, the good guys seem to get thrown under the bus, while the masterminds get away with all sorts of criminal activity. How many more people will fall under this until the real culprits are brought out and pilloried?

  • Ahhh, Mr O’Reilly has his own brand of spin! He clearly is not familiar with firearms or the laws that regulate sale and use of same. He has shown us by example the ignorance that politicians and the anti-gun crowd take advantage of. He is merely spouting off the same clap-trap that the anti-gun crowd (Heavy Weapons?? Do you know what a Heavy Weapon is Mr. O’Reilly?). It is no small wonder he started to get agitated when Representative Chavets was rightly contradicting him.

  • Hah! The perfect “Composite” boyfriend for the O!

  • “We’re an open city, a city that’s at the forefront of inclusion”. Yeah, right, as long as you subscribe to left wing ideology. If you disagree, or have the courage to say you have a different viewpoint, then Bostons’ mayor is at the forefront of exclusion, the head of a closed city, a citadel of the left.

  • To loosely paraphrase Winston Churchill, he’s following his heart. Hopefully, with the early exposures to conservatism, he’ll follow his brain at a later time. There have been plenty of liberals who were raised as liberals, and not until well into adulthood have they become conservatives.
