  too true. Agree 100%. Smokers and over-eaters aren’t the only ones with BIG health problems. They are simply the most obvious ones. They are easily seen.

  Wow….to me this shows the lack of understanding. Smoking and Obesity are socially despised, basically because they are obvious. What about those conditions which have no outward appearance? I wonder if the totals have been run on them? What about sexually transmitted diseases? Hmmm….what about heart attacks? What about cancer. Cancer is a big money-maker. So…why not just let anyone die off because it costs too much? this is just a pre-cursor to euthanasia or death-panels. Don’t kid yourself that it is anything else but that.

  I think that this is completely revelant. I am a woman, and a strong one at that, but the standards should NOT be taken down to accomodate women. I would think that it would be okay to have women in the military if they don’t meet the physical standards if it is not a physical job they will be doing. Some women would have the strength to haul such a large man, but only they should be there on the front lines.
