No, the BIGGER problem is that Clinton ACTUALLY (physically) had sex with an intern in the WH & all Demos dismissed it as “just sex” (of a sort). Weiner sends weiner pics — sleazy, but is it worse??

Like GOPer Mark Foley sends suggestive emails to a male intern he never actually met, but as far back as Gerry(?) Stubbs(?) of Massachusetts in the late 1970, ACTUAL physical sodomy with a Congressional page (staffer?) page is somehow cast as almost coquettish.

This double standard comparo to “favored” Dem media darlings is unconscionable.

The outcome would have been the same. There is a legislative process in place wherein the HOUSE votes by Representative (district) &, since the GOP had the House majority, Bush would have been voted in along party lines.

EXACTLY. Same sex sex = homosexual. It has NOTHING to do with a Roman collar around one’s neck.
I am tired of celibacy being the excuse to be homosexual. Except for brutal convicts, no heterosexual who is celibate yearns for anything but a woman. Sex with a man is revulsive in so many ways.
Also so many Catholics vote Democrat because they now buy this “social justice” crap & elevate that over Church beliefs about abortion & gay stuff. They want the US Govt. to be their Catholic Charity.

I’m with you. If I am EVER inclined (as a non-urban dweller) to consider a hybrid, a diesel-electric ALWAYS made the most sense. A diesel uses 1/4 the fuel of a gas engine at idle, so the ANNOYING start-stop can be eliminated (or always turned off). Plus in a pseudo-truck variant, it may be reasonably utilitarian.
Of course that 260MPG VW IS supposedly intended for production. Some ultra-expensive lightweight stuff may be replaced for cost purposes, but the 1 liter 47 hp diesel + the 25(?) hp electric team up for phenomenal MPG. With that aerodynamic shape, it is too bad it is limited to 100 MPH.

Actually just the OPPOSITE of SPORTSMANSHIP (look up the definition, it has to do with playing FAIRLY, not with harming your team to make some social statement). Throwing away points & such has NO place in the field of competitive sports. This has filtered in from girls’ sports who once helped a player “score” & set a record that was just out of her reach because of a season-ending injury. CARRYING a player down the court to make a lay-up (for some asterisked record IMO) is something I have NEVER seen in the NBA or Men’s NCAA Basketball. Thanks a lot.

I think the Judge should have declared a recess (& just disappeared or cited “feeling bad”) when he left & then NEVER come back that day. The case would remain open AFAIK. It will be automatically rescheduled & the important missing officer might NOT have an legitimate excuse to miss court NEXT time.
