  • So, when he “heard about it on the news,” was that on tv, or through the AP wire tapping?

  • COMFORTEAGLE, you should read my comment above. They did not refuse service to them because they are gay. They have sold flowers to them before. (“Ingersoll and his partner, Curt Freed, were decade-long customers of Arlene’s Flowers & Gifts.”) They have sold to them before just as they have sold flowers to “people who have premarital sex, dicorced people, people who take the lords name in vain, adulterers, people who work on suday (she prob does), and all sorts of other sinners…”
Yes, they believe homosexual behavior is a sin according to the Bible. And if she never sold flowers to them just because they are gay, then they might have a legitimate gripe. But they are asking this flower shop owner to participate in an event that she believes is sinful. Being tolerant of others does not mean you have to endorse (and certainly not participate) their behavior.
Read my comment above. It explains this even more.

  • VAMAN, you should read more carefully. They are not denying service to gay people simply for being gay. The couple are “Decade long customers” of the flower shop. Obviously they have sold flowers to them before.
They couple is asking the owner to provide a service she doesn’t wish to provide – flowers for a “gay wedding.” If the couple was asking for flowers to a traditional marriage there would be no problem.
Kosher deli’s sell to people who eat pork, or meat and cheese in the same meal, all the time. But would you ask them to provide meat for a “Kosher Pork” event? They would refuse because “Kosher Pork” does not exist. You would be changing the definition of “kosher” and asking them to validate it.
This is what a Christian hears when you ask them to support “gay marriage.” It is something that does not exist to them because it would change the very definition of a word that is sacred to them.
It would be like you holding a “myth party” and asking a Christian bookstore owner to provide Bibles. (By the way, kudos for insulting people while trying to make a point. That’ll surely get them to see the light.)
The store has a right to deny services that they are morally (and religiously) opposed to. You may not like religion, but our country was founded by people trying to escape religious persecution and who wanted to make sure religion was protected from the government or from anyone else.

  • It was no razor. Chuck Norris did not shave his beard. He sent it on a mission. It walked off of its own accord.
It is either rescuing POW’s in a foreign land, or it is at home catching up on old episodes of Duck Dynasty.

I guess they should have spent more on roads and bridges.

  • Something tells me that kid joined that line a long time ago. I mean, he’s nine already. Most kids pass Gore by the time they are eight.

  • You must be a riot at parties.

  • Well, at least we don’t have to find out WHY they did it because “what, at this point, does it matter?”

  • He would smoke too much to be a ballet dancer. And Herschel Walker took ballet. It helped his balance and flexibility. Ballet would be WAY too difficult for an Obama.
