I am especially infuriated that HRC did not immediately correct and admonish Albright for making such a sexist statement.

Unix time is related to Linux, which I didn’t know Apple was remotely based on. Sure glad I retired from all that technical stuff. date +%s.

All corporations, large and small, have depreciation and other deductible business expenses making the 35% tax rate BS. D’s and R’s both had a hand at writing the tax code. The write off’s are INCENTIVES to invest and spend. Now they are called loopholes.
If the corporations are doing something illegal, why are they not prosecuted? Gosh, even the Clinton’s hide real estate in trusts to avoid taxes.

Hmmm. A dem on a biz news channel just said part of the money will be given back to the “poor”. Guess that makes the tax more of a redistribution scheme.

BHO wants to put oil companies out of business. Oil at near $30, a $10 is more than a 30% tax.
Yeah, but when gas goes back to 4.50/ gal the percentage increase will go drastically down. But the peeps that can now afford fuel will then start screaming for Taxpayers to help pay for their heating oil, natural gas, auto gas. And the Marxist democrats will throw out the obligatory, Rs are stingy and want to hurt" the children.

They certainly hear “free college”. Then they can save their own money for spring break. PARTY!
Um, spring break is where they spend daddy and mommy's money, not their own.
You DO mean their parents' money, don't you?? LOL
yes, because parties are why young people want to save money. not the fact that millennials were the generation worst hit by the recession and as a result are struggling to get anywhere due to crippling college debt and low hiring rates for young people, a major reason for the sluggish recovery (young people standing on the sidelines of the economy due to the inability to progress as a result of crippling college debt) but yes, parties are the reason young people would like cheaper educations. intelligent observation.
@cccmmm: Having crippling debt to get your degree is a choice, and it should be a choice made based on return on investment. If you won't end up getting a good paying job that allows you to easily pay off that debt, then you made a bad choice.
There are cheaper alternatives to staying at a dorm at a 4-year university. Instead, you could take your core classes at your local community college where it is much cheaper. Then you would only need to take 2 years worth of credit at a university, and you could commute to save on costs. Also, if you worked hard in high school, then you will be able to find scholarships to help pay for college. Then you get a job to work part time and full time over the summer, so you won't have to take out so much in loans. You try to get a co-op/internship with a company in your field of education, so you get on the job experience, so you will have a better chance of landing a job when you graduate.
If you take this approach, and work hard to get a good education in a field that pays decently and has job opportunities, then your college debt should be quite manageable.

What are we coming to? Quotas? Equal pay regardless of performance?
Just what we need is another executive order to increase the cost of oil as well as the cost of gas.
This administration is such a joke. We need to change this, and we need to change it this year.
We need a man for the people. We need a man who is conservative and has been his entire life and not just before he decided to run for president. We need a man who believes in the Constitution.
Ted Cruz is a Constitutionalist.
Ted Cruz knows the Constitution.
Ted Cruz has argued cases before SCOTUS and won on numerous occasions for the State of Texas.
Ted Cruz is the only person qualified and willing to do what it takes to save this country.
Ted Cruz is an American Patriot.
Ted Cruz stands right up there with our countries founding fathers as a Constitutionalist.
Ted Cruz will appoint experts onto his Cabinet positions who will give him their expert opinions.
Well qualified people who are the experts on Defense, Finance, Negotiating Treaties, Education, EPA, Health, Science, etc..
A good leader knows how to seek council from many sources, then He makes the final decision.
Ted Cruz knows how to get the job done.
Americans wake up.
Ted Cruz is America's last chance to turn this countries downward spiral around.
~Go Ted Go~
Has Obama made more promises to Iran to cut the American flare......?
Having spent some time in ND, I can tell you that the EPA has been there since Day Minus One just looking for "smoking gun" to shut all the drilling down. I heard about this a year ago at JJs Pizza in Watford City ND. The oil/gas companies have already countered the EPA's "complaint" and are using the gas (that came out of the ground) to help bring the crude up. Before the gubment stepped in, the gas/oil guys stepped up.
Some of the gas needs to be burned off as the storage facilities are full and we know how hard it is to build a pipeline or well anywhere privately, even on your own property. 2/3 of the gas is used in some way. 1/3 is burned off or re-used in the extraction. I'd say that's a pretty good re-use of resources, much unlike what The Admin does.
Stay tuned for more developments as The Admin tries to kill drilling in western ND and west TX.

I question Bernie’s honesty. Maybe not blatant lying, but twisting facts out of all recognition. Bernie says the economy is rigged, but he wants to be the rigger and rig it some other way. He say climate change is our biggest threat, but he wants to create millions of jobs, that would in the big picture and the left’s logic, increase it. He needs huge tax increases for his programs, while making it appear only the “billionaire class” would pay. etc. etc.
.You have legitimate concerns and questions. None of your questions can be answered in less than 1500 words. Have you considered going to his web site and getting your information?
I too, believe that the economy is rigged by Wall Street and the Big Banks. I owned a tax prep/accounting franchise for years and it becomes obvious after a while what is truly happening in this country.
You won’t find me endorsing a candidate. I don’t like any of them, ever. The parties are split in such a way that we can never truly pick a candidate we like, and if we do, we are brainwashed, no longer able to think for ourselves.
I will tell you this. I never see illegals in my office, their illegal and cannot claim any form of refund on taxes paid in….
The differences between classes has become wider than the Grand Canyon. Families that were ten years ago considered well off in my area are now living hand to mouth.
Almost no one in my immediate community (a rather wealthy medical community) can afford to attend college anymore.)
Those in the community who were laid-off in 2008 that had college degrees, are now working two part-time jobs, because no jobs are available to replace the original jobs lost.
So when you see the tax returns that I see, of the range of clients that I see, you learn how the banks and Wall Street took advantage, and never had to give back to the community that saved them.
Bernie is right. It’s their turn to pay instead of the people.
