And they have another one on the way, from the looks of it. Scary.

Actually, if I understand correctly, Mr. Lees did not write this letter. He just shared it on his Facebook page, because he thought it was interesting. He didn’t even write it himself, and they fired him for it (well, he resigned)!
I think you had it right the first time. Crude, perhaps, but right. There are times when crudity is appropriate, even if it's unintentional.

My son is in the Army. They don’t see color, what they worry about is who has their back, and who doesn’t. They are all a family protecting each other and the country.

I don’t agree with that last paragraph in the article. My son is in the Army, and we went to visit him one Easter. There was a very high ranking officer there, though I didn’t know who he was at the time. I wish I remembered his name. He came up and shook my husband’s and my hands. When he moved on, my son whispered “Don’t ever wash your hand again, Mom!” He was referring to how important and respected this man was. He was black. My cousin’s husband is a Colonel, and I know in the pictures he posts, there are always other high ranking black men. I can crap on that paragraph.
I love country music, and actually find this song pretty catchy. I had to listen pretty close, because I was alarmed at first! I quickly realized what it was about. STILL, when someone else is in the car with me, I change the station. I think it is meant to be a bit provocative, and it is.

It is so incredibly rude to keep people waiting. I don’t think he is ever on time. Ever.

Cruz wouldn’t accept the Nobel Peace Prize if he didn’t deserve it.

You nailed the big part of why this is a story. Totally missing from the article. Kind of turned me off to him, but I still like most of his music. I do feel for his ex and kids. However, I was watching a show where he was showing his home (on CMT or somewhere) years ago. WAY before any of the controversy. I didn’t think they seemed happy at the time at all. I’ve always had that in the back of my mind. Not any excuse for his behavior. Just a side note.

Go with “maroon” or you’re going to get in trouble again. ;)

I wonder what time the interview was taped?
 March 13, 2015 at 9:57am
I know this article is about books, but people need to set higher standards for themselves. When I hear people using foul language, I immediately think less of them because of it. We shouldn’t be conditioned to accept things like this. There are so many words to use in our language. Why choose to “punctuate” your speech with those words that are so offensive?
 March 13, 2015 at 9:56am
YES, and I believe they should. The books that are assigned to our kids are filled with them. Finding a “clean” book to read for a book club is nearly impossible. Otherwise great books are ruined by swear words.

I rarely miss her show, but I did miss this one. I agree that Giuliani was correct to say what he said. I love that he never backed down, no matter who was interviewing him. Most people don’t have the guts to do that.
 March 12, 2015 at 10:51pm
The people they are interviewing are really unbelievable! They don’t know any of the facts. They are being fed a load of crap and believing every word of it. Only a couple have their heads on straight.

Megyn Kelly always hits the nail on the head. Best show on Fox!
Maybe you missed Megyn chastising Giuliani for questioning Obama's love for his country. She attacked Rudy as lacking civility, as if we must all protect the President from accountability lest anyone gets offended.
Is anyone here in central Florida on the west coast? I need some help with something. TIA
Can't stand her, I totally disagree with you. While she is right on something's she is way off base on others. I don't like her tendency for equivocation.
SFfam, , If she started doing her show without makeup would you still think that
"Megyn Kelly always hits the nail on the head."
I don't believe she did.. What about President Obama and all the Lawyers at the U.S. Justice Department, then the politicians ????
It wasn't just the Liberal/Progressive News Media that created this situation of Radical, Hate atmosphere and attitude.. There's a lot of Blame for this to go around..
And Megyn Kelly barely scratched the surface......................
Guess she hit this one. Everyone is talking about her instead of news.
Please wake up!
But then she was followed by Hannity who spent an entire hour on the protests. So how guilty is FOX of the same thing.
The other item Megyn Kelly discussed if I remember correctly is how Obama plans to go around congress with his Iran nuclear treaty and go to the United Nations instead.
Obama's disdain for the American people and the representatives we have elected is shocking.
FOX needs a name change to FOXY.
Megan was on a roll !
She hit all the points and didnt hold back!

This is my hometown. My brother grew up with some of these officers. I’m so sorry for the circumstances, but so proud of them! Praying for the family and sweet baby.

I read through this story a few times, and still found it a bit misleading.

Funny that you mention Haiti. Sterling and Shelli have actually gone there before on trips to help others who are less fortunate. They give and give and give year round, and even have programs set up within the business to do so too. Also, THEY did not choose Hawaii as their mission destination. It was chosen for them. They will be very busy while on their mission. This won’t be a vacation, by any means!

I worked for Shelli’s company, Stampin’ Up! for 15 years. A great company, and she is a great leader! They will be an asset to the people of Honolulu! I wouldn’t be surprised if they decide to serve for a longer period. They are very service oriented.
