  • Ben – My description of a “pursuit” is as defined in most police policy manuals. If you don’t care for the length of the comment, no one forced you to read it, if it didn’t enlighten you then it was not intended for you in the first place…it was intended for all the mutts that seemed to think he was out of line and the ******* cop hatters that probably had their girlfriends stolen by a cop and therefore no cop can ever do anything right.

Ross – Don’t need meds, I have a very easy life, low stress, no worries and I get to play with lots of stuff that goes BOOM! Very therapeutic.

  • First of all its not a “pursuit” and it doesn’t become a “pursuit” until you have caught up to the violator and he refuses to stop…then decisions need to be made about traffic volume, speeds attained, weather, type of violation and whether its’ worth it to endanger soccer moms w/ vans full of kids or Joe lunch bucket going to work, for the sake of catching a speeder. The answer is no. But that’s not what happened here. Ofcr James was just trying to catch up to a speeder. So he had the discretion to disregard what is a civil infraction in Oregon and deal with a potential traffic accident in the making…Why you might ask? Because, what was bound to happen was someone in their panicked effort to avoid hitting momma and her baby ducks would have swerved or slammed on their brakes or both, initiating any number of cause and effect issues to occur from loss of vehicle control to entering the opposing traffic lanes all of which would, in all likelihood, result in a collision. So…Ofcr James let a speeder go to maybe, just maybe, prevent a more significant traffic mishap…wow what a worthless, union lackey, parasite, government thug HE must be…disgusting….what was he thinking? -Yes it’s sarcasm-

I have seen the result of a momma duck and several ducklings trying to cross a freeway in a major NW city. Two hours, six collisions and 4 injuries later, they finally opened the freeway back up. This was good work. Well done Ofcr James…well done indeed.

All of which means what exactly? Look I’m impressed with 900 hp out of what is basically a 4dr rally platform, OK fine. So we invest a crap load of money, and for all practical purposes what do we have? There are no race classes this can compete in…he built himself right out of competition. EVOs and STIs are a dime a dozen so there’s nothing unique about the car other than the 900 hp…so what is the point? I run into the EVOs and STis at the track all the time. The cars save the drivers not the other way around. You don’t need to be a great driver to drive one because the AWD and tech does all the work. The other side of the coin is that when you finally do over drive it, you are way past recovery. In fact truth be told, usually the guys driving these cars have the worst time learning the “smooth is fast” rule, generally opting for the “drive like an ass to impress everyone with my speed in the straights” mode. So forgive me if I don’t get completely gaga over the car. I can think of other more unique, more durable cars I could spend $75K on. And trust me…I have seen enough of these (EVOs) modified and un-modified, leave motor parts and fluids on the track to question their durability and reliability. The WRXs and STIs are better, but I’ve seen them go up in smoke as well. I have never needed to trailer my car home in 7 years. Same motor, never had the heads off of it. Basic maintenance on a DOHC Supercharged Iron block aluminum head V8 @ 565rwhp.

  • Wow, all aluminum 900 horsepower turbocharged 4 cylinder…not sure I want to be there when it grenades itself. No set up here, watching the video she is no pro driver. Her hand position sucks. Her steering technique is reminiscent of poorly executed high school driver training. Anyone who drives a car at freeway speeds (let alone 140mph) one handed with their hand palm down at the bottom of the wheel is a fool. Anyone who rides with them is a bigger fool. But above all, 140 mph on a open public roadway is beyond idiotic. I looked this car up on the net, it’s for sale and they want $75K…I just don’t see that happening.

  • One need only read a history of Islam…to understand that muslims who believe forced conversion is NOT correct doctrine, are a distinct minority among the the faithful. Islam has ALWAYS been spread by force. 1400 years of history define the intent of Islam. There is no ambiguity. Ask the Armenians, the Pashtuns, the Persians, the Spanish, every southern European country, principality or kingdom from 700 AD to the 1400s…all they did was fight off invading muslim armies or rise up against muslim occupiers for centuries. There is a reason Pakistan is muslim today…it didn’t start that way. Neither did Afghanistan, the Balkans, N. Africa, western Asia. Next to Communism, Islam is probably responsible for the death of more people than any other theocratic-political factor in history. Keeping in mind that there weren’t all that many people on the planet back then, they have killed a lot of folks and they’re still at it. No days their invasions are less dramatic, but just as effective. Due to the increased birth rate, by 2035 they will have enough voting age Muslims in some European countries to actually gain control the individual parliaments. Think about that…Sharia law in the EU…WAKE THE HELL UP America!!

  • @DLV – and given what we know about the egos of men and how men seek for power, tell me that there was no divine inspiration in the forming of our nation…through all of the formative process? To not see God’s hand in it is to ignore the obvious. The founders were blessed with divine guidance and I firmly believe they knew it and appreciated it. I don’t know if you agree or not, I’m just sayin’…At least that’s how I see it.

  • Skunkbear, Feel free to loathe all you want, you’re welcome. But I doubt you understand nearly as much as you think you do.

  • I beg to differ, Sir. Manage your logistics correctly, and you can fight harder AND smarter. Running AND gunning requires the mastery of the logistical, tactical and strategic components. I would submit that a maneuver element leader needs vastly more knowledge than a quartermaster officer, who will not apply that combined knowledge to accomplish a tactical mission/objective. He will not be responsible for management, replenishment of food, ammo, POL etc. while managing a fight, or controlling other tactical assets, all of that falls to the tactical leader, even if that is an E-4 fire team leader.

  • These guys are being purged, to be replaced by younger officers…kids who will sit in a class and listen to some marxist tell them in counter-terrorism training that devout Mormons, Catholics and other practicing Christians are potential threats because of their religious beliefs. Or that “right wing gun nuts” are a threat to this country. That practicing your faith on a military facility is contrary to Army values….These people have infiltrated the military, the last bastion of honor and credibility in our government and now they are trying to turn it against us and us against it. The old guard is being moved out for the sake of political expediency, so that they can fundamentally change the military. Once that happens we will no longer be capable of projecting power globally and that will be our downfall…which is their ultimate goal. Unless we stop it…RLTW

  • Right, Once it drops off of their facebook news feed in five days or so, it’s no longer important. Five days is “so much ancient history” that 7 months must seem like a life time ago…besides, the new Iphone 20 will be available any day now and Call of Duty – Fortress Chicago will be released to store at midnight. Now that’s news dudes…
