    As you can see Verceofreason,
The very purpose of the Constitution along with the division of powers is designed to protect us from an overreaching government. Unfortunatly, the Amendments to the Constitution have been under assault since they were ratified by congress—-The Republican party and the Democrat party is both responsible the erosion of the original intent of the Constitution. My opinion is that the only political party that supports the Constitution is the Libertarian Party. Unfortunately, the powers-that-be are in control, and the good-ol’-boy network in DC is intact…… and we the people are divided………

My opinion is that the average citizen has much more in common than not—–we all love our families and just want to be left alone to pursue our own happiness (whatever it is). Bottom line is that THERE IS NO UTOPIA, there is only the never-ending struggle for freedom; and without the struggle, we will surely become subjects of the state—-it is the natural progression for freedom to erode as government grows…………

  • Your examples are valid, but do not tell the whole story. The debate of more vs. less government was central to our founding fathers decision to divide the 3 branches of government into coequal entities. The argument was also central to the “numerated” powers given to the federal government—–look at the 10 Amendments; the common theme is to protect the people from an overreaching government.
1st Amendment: Protects speech and religious freedoms (protected from an overreaching government).
2nd Amendment: Gives the people recourse if the government becomes oppressive and unresponsive.
3rd Amendment protects us from being forced to house military members in our houses…
4th Amendment: Protects us from the government searching our property/house without warrant.
5th Amendment: Sets out rules for indictment by grand jury and eminent domain, protects the right to due process, and prohibits self-incrimination and double jeopardy—again, protected from government.
6th Amendment: Right to speedy public trial, the right to counsel.
7th Amendment: right to trial by jury of piers (not a trial judged by government officials).
8th Amendment: The right to bail, protection from excessive fines, and protection from cruel and unusual punishment.
9th Amendment: Protects rights not enumerated in the constitution.
10th Amendment: Limits the powers of the federal government to those delegated to it by the Constitution. This is the catch-all designed to limit the federal govern

  • His E-O ignores LAW!!!!!

We cannot have our elected leaders giving orders to for some laws to be ignored! ! ! !
If the law is bad, or needs to be changed—then it NEEDS to go through the process to be changed.

President Obama is RULING rather than LEADING.———-We (the People) are NOT his subjects……………………….

  • Looks like B.O. has Foot-In-Mouth Disease——–

He acts more like a dictator every day.

The Congressional branch is becoming more-and-more irrelevant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • And these people are the ones with the big ideas?
COMPARE AND CONTRAST WITH OUR FOUNDING PRINCIPALS………………….

    ——->VERY SCARY GROUP!!!!!

  • Very true——Utah is a VERY conservative state—and the folks there are top-notch citizens……..
Imagine if this was LAX, Oakland, or New York!!!!!!

  • Now that was funny!!!

…………but I loved the old Candid Camera (from back in the day ) too.

  • SIGUY62—

If this was JU!ST passed by congress this year, HOW can the project be so wide-spread in just a few months?

Looks to me like this program has been in motion and well-funded for a while——-

Is this part of President Obama’s plan?

    QUOTE:
“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

    -Barack Obama (July 2008)

Think about that: Just as well funded as the US military? The military budget is, what, $600 billion a year?!—-These drones may be just the tip of the iceberg…………..

    QUOTE:

“Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.”

    -Benjamin Franklin
