  • I would have called the cops too because I am offended that the guy neglected to add “COMMUNIST” to the acronym.

  • Where are the reproducible tests showing how one species when exposed to specific stimuli will evolve into a distinct new species better adapted to that stimuli? What is the peer-reviewed test showing one species evolving from one distinct class to another (i.e. bird to mammal etc)?

    Oh, that’s right. They don’t exist and scientists have exempted the theory from the Scientific Method because it’s easier to insult and shame disbelievers than it is to come up with the actual science. Sorry Bill, but you cannot prove it DID happen until you can prove it COULD have happened. What if the truth is neither theory? How can we pursue that theory when your ilk has suspended scientific principles to declare your theory the victor? It’s almost like how the theory of Global Warming gets promoted… hey, and don’t you support that fairy tale too?

    Religious atheists like Bill Nye are why this agnostic is not an atheist.

    In reply to Do The Right Thing.

    I also want to know the answer to TruthHurts’s question. You wanted a 2-door car and they showed you a Challenger which is a 2-door car. I found your story hard to follow because you led off with that being the first example and you didn’t even address why the car did not meet your expectations. Is it a wildly expensive sports car and you were looking for a basic car? Did you get the name mixed up with Charger? If so, the challenger still exists and still should have been shown to you. As for Chrysler I have no love for them after they killed the Dakota with that uglification redesign in 2005.

  • In other words, she’s a Democrat who wants to screw everyone. In other other words, she’s an ordinary Democrat.

  • In theory I am against hateful and threatening discourse like Adam Smith exhibited, but when it comes to the hateful emails that he claims (and I don’t doubt) that he is receiving I find myself unable to care. I’m so sick and tired of the Left talking the talk of tolerance while walking the walk of blatant intolerance that it broke my give-a-damn. One of the reasons the Left is so successful is that they are so willing to do whatever is necessary to get their goal accomplished that wild hypocrisy doesn’t even cause them to bat an eye. We on the Right need to adopt more of their tactics instead of rolling over and playing dead in the name of “turning the other cheek”.

    Back in the mid ’00s many conservatives loved how Bush was a huge doormat to the absurd criticism he received, but what did it do? All that did was make the complaints look valid, and in 2006 we got stuck with a socialist Congress and in ’08 the White House got stuck with a flaming communist. The damage caused by them will probably take generations to undo, but I’m supposed to believe it was for the best because of the *value* in “turning the other cheek”? It’s one thing to be a huge crybaby like Obama, but yet that doesn’t mean you entirely ignore attacks the way Bush did.

  • Marketing will have to get creative? Are you saying they won’t be able to use guilt and shame to get politicians to take the money from the citizens to pay for these things? The less efficient and more expensive the better when it comes to environmental stuff.

    That being said, these do seem interesting since rooftops are largely useless anyway.

  • Oh goodie, it’s just what we need: a process to make it easier so that the “informed” can register to vote between episodes of The Kim Cardassian Show and The Daily Show. Maybe Facebook can create a USB device that attaches to the head so that if brainwave activity halts the system will cast an automatic vote for Democrat.

  • Mayor Menino to Chick-Fil-A: “If you don’t recognize, respect, and embrace gay marriages then we will show you tolerance Massachusetts style! We will burn you at the stake!”

  • ==================================================
    “Democracy is not just about reflecting the will of the majority,” she [Clinton] said. “It is also about protecting the rights of the minority.”
    ==================================================

    No, that’s actually what a democracy really is. A democracy is a nation ruled by the whims of the majority, and the reason America was great is because it used to be governed by wise individuals who built a republic.

  • Maybe in his case his conservatism really was little more than his parroting of beliefs his conservative up bringing exposed him to. Just because conservative beliefs are rooted in logical and reason it does not mean a conservative believer used logic and reason to acquire their philosophy on life. A person can easily adopt the conservative beliefs if they were basically forced upon them, the only thing unusual here is that it’s usually easier for a gullible and naive person to adopt the Leftwing point of view because that philosophy appeals to our more primitive emotional gut.

    If his conservative views really were the parroting of things he had soaked up then it’s only natural that as he grew into an older teen that he would soak in the pop culture that most teens are saturated with and would latch onto those beliefs too. I mean he watches The Daily Show for crying out loud! What do you expect would happen to someone who has already admitted they don’t apply independent thought to issues?
