  • HappyConservative, you are an idiot, and, I bet a hypocrite. If cops had forced entry and “throughly searched” a house and found nothing, based simply on a call by a neighbor, you would probably cry about the violation of the 4th Amendment! Cops can take you on a 72 hour mental hold if you say you want to kill yourself, or are a danger to others…but they have to witness it. Granted, people may make comments like that to others, and those people call the police and tell them, but cops have to hear, or see it. Otherwise, you could just tell the cops your neighbor, who you are pissed at, said he was going to kill himself and watch the cops haul him away. So, based on your theory, I could call the cops and say I saw a naked women on a leash in your backyard and you would be perfectly happy to let the cops in and “throughly search” your house? C’mon, be honest, is that what you would do? I am willing to bet my life a cop would never get a search warrant from a judge based on “the neighbors say they saw something weird”. It just doesn’t work that way. Cops go to weird calls all the time. Some are factual, some are called in by even weirder neighbors. If no one answers the door, cops do not have the right to start kicking in doors. Look it up…Google 4th Amendment, then, reverse it and think what you would want to happen if someone made a call about you. I feel for the cops, they are in a total no win situation. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

  • The sad thing is, some loser of a lawyer will represent these fools and try to make them seem innocent. This is pure horror. This is why every state should have the death penalty.

  • I am a cop. Have been for 15 years. I generally disagree with most of the comments made about cops on here. People have no experience, no training, no sense of reality and no knowledge of the law…most of the time. In this particular case, I would have shot the cops. I would never do something like that.

  • I was an avid Glen Beck fan…until he said give up your arms and fight them in court. Anyone still feeling that way? By the time they start grabbing guns in earnest, the courts will already be on their side.

  • How come gays and lesbians can be offended by what I believe, but I can’t be offended by what they believe? I demand all gay pride parades in any city anywhere be stopped immediately! I am offended by a shirtless man in as*less chaps waltzing down a city street. They are offended by my cross, I am offended by their actions.

  • Why terminate the spelling cops? Don’t you see bad grammar and spelling as part of the downfall of our society. We are quickly becoming a nation of idiots.

  • So, are you sure thats how you feel? Be careful what you wish for. Let’s say it’s two o’clock in the morning and someone is breaking into your house…you REALLY want the cop to drive 55 mph an hour to get there? Hey, thats the law you have to abide by, so, so should they, right? I know, I know! You are Billy Badazz and you will (Fill in the make/model of your AWESOME gun here) and blast his **** into next Tuesday, right?

Ok, let’s make it something your gun and tough guy attitude can’t get you out of. How about you get into a wreck on a crowded street and you are bleeding to death. Once again, the cop has to drive a MAXIMUM of whatever the speed limit is, since that’s the law. The cop CAN”T pass on the left or in opposite lanes, because that’s the law, right? The cop has to go three blocks out of the way around massive amounts of traffic instead of cutting down one block of a one way street, because that’s the law, right? Awwwww, too bad! You bled to death while the cop was obeying all the laws you have to. So sorry.

My point is, while ON DUTY, yes, cops are allowed to do things you are not. Deal with it. If you still hate that concept, then get the laws changed, but don’t gripe when the cops are slow getting to help you. I know, I know…the cops only clean up the mess, right? They never stop crime. I know you well. Idiot, you just never hear about any of what a cop does unless it’s bad. Suck it up buttercup!

  • Really? Try taking your concealed carry into a court house then. Cops do it all the time. I guess they DO have a few more rights, at least while on duty. I guess that comes with risking their lives while you sit in your underwear and spout your hate for them. See you on the other side.

  • All of you “Cops are horrible and never trust them” people are actually kind of silly. You claim to know the laws, but you just pick and choose what you want to understand. To get down to brass tacks here, yes, cops do have rights that most citizens don’t, at least while on duty. For example…it is against the law to drive the wrong way on a one way street, but a cop, if on duty, IF he needs to, CAN drive the wrong way on a one way street, and no “citizens arrest” can be made.

If a law exists in a state saying no guns are allowed in a bar, then absolutely that law applies to cops who are off duty. But, it does NOT apply to cops who are on duty. A bar brawl breaks out and a cop has to stow his gun in the trunk of his car? Stupid. A true, drinking only place, sure, cops should not go there to hang out. Buffalo Wild Wings is hardly a hardcore drinking bar. It is a restaurant too. Cops have a right to eat also. If they are on duty they have a right to have their firearms with them. If you want to carry in a “gun free zone” of a “bar”, then get your lazy **** into the academy and earn a badge. I dare any of you to find a police department that doesn’t mandate it’s officers/deputies to carry AT ALL TIMES while on duty.

    Love, peace and chicken grease.

  • Is the UN Planning to Clamp Down on Gun Sales?

    In reply to Chancellor.

Damn right! Anyone wearing a blue helmet in my country is free game. Too bad for them that they made a wrong choice to wear it. UN troops on my soil is a trigger point for me and mine.
