No amount of surgery or hormones will change the DNA.
September 1, 2015 at 2:56pm
Chromosomal judgment – XX girls, XY boys — can’t change that with hormones or plastic surgery.
September 1, 2015 at 2:54pm
Plastic surgery can confuse that issue. More like, if XX chromosome, girls room; if XY chromosome, boys room. THAT cannot be changed no matter how many hormones one takes or plastic surgery procedures one has.

Amen. I remember a rather brash radio/TV host saying a few years back that the time will come when things devolve into chaos and people will beg anybody…ANYBODY… to make the chaos stop. It won’t matter what that person really stands for… that person will only have to SAY what they want to hear. I think too many here have arrived at that point. Forget truth, forget values…they just think that this bombastic NYC businessman is going to make the chaos stop. They think he actually cares about them. Donald Trump has and will always care about himself and what power he can achieve and nobody else. He is a salesman and a showman. Such is the way that most tyrants come to power….and to those who insist that a businessman can “save” the country… remember, there were those saying the same thing about Michael Bloomberg in NYC in 2001…curiously, the same M.O.

Interesting take, LakewoodEd… I wonder what would happen if they decided to play “Greensleeves”?

@VCB – guess again, buttercup. We’re in NYC, too…and we love Cruz…including the 20-somethings…and their friends (all “progressive” university graduates, too – it doesn’t take much to hold to one’s values in the face of evil…)

“A brief shining moment, and then that mouth.” – Victor Melling, “Miss Congeniality”
Did you read Carly’s whole statement… “It is also true, however, that she is not trustworthy, that she has lied about some key things — Benghazi, her emails, her server.” Carly has been harder on Clinton than any other candidate including Trump, who contributed to Hillary in the past, praised her highly, and for some reason had to have her attend his wedding. Carly has FAR more integrity, judgement, and ability to communicate like a rational grown-up than Trump or Hillary ever will.

Excellent point, Flyover-Country. As lifelong New Yorker I find it interesting that so many Blaze posters who have previously railed loud and long against New York, New Yorkers, and New York attitude have suddenly fallen in love with a loudmouth pure New York City born and bred billionaire/entertainer who is playing to an audience…and playing that audience like a song. I can certainly appreciate the sentiment of “It’s about time to let a wealthy capitalist run the country,” but please remember that same line of thought gave NYC Michael Bloomberg…and you all just LOVE him, right? Donald Trump is NO conservative. He is doing what he has always done best…getting his name on the proverbial front page. If it sounds too good to be true it most likely is. While he is very good at getting in the face of those you can’t stand (you know, that same attitude that you all usually HATE about New Yorkers), his act is one of smoke and mirrors. Remember the “art of the deal” is to be a very effective salesman…and to tell the customer anything he or she wants to hear to get the deal done. Don’t be surprised if he sells you a lemon….and don’t say you weren’t warned.

Umm… that’s what they said about Michael Bloomberg in NYC.

As I read this story I was listening to the music that plays through the following passage in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers… and tears came to my eyes remembering the sacrifices of that Greatest Generation:
Sam: …It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.
Frodo: What are we holding onto, Sam?
Sam: That there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo… and it’s worth fighting for.
Amen, Samwise Gamgee.

Just so you know, Larry… there are true conservatives in New York City. Some are even teaching your children in public learning institutions. While I emphatically do not agree with the blanket assertion that NYC is a bad place (considering I was born and raised here and that my spouse and I have raised our family here), I DO resent your implication that one must be a “conservative” to hold a negative point of view of the Big Apple. I love New York. I always have and always will. We commute to work, we pay our exorbitant taxes, and we absolutely despise the fact that the specter of the bad old days of Lindsay, Beame, and Dinkie Dinkins is once again being raised in our beloved home town by the current administration. One can only hope that history repeats itself. Dinkins brought us Rudy. Perhaps there is another Rudy in the wings waiting to clean up the horrific mess that Warren Wilhelm (aka Billy Boy DeBlasio) is leaving behind. Don’t worry, Larry. The conservatives here (and there are many more than I’m sure you realize – and really do exist across generations and ethnic lines) will continue to fight to for our city.

“Weingarten’s AFT bio claims she taught history at Clara Barton High School in Brooklyn from 1991 to 1997. EAG obtained her personnel file via a Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request. Weingarten was hired as a substitute teacher in 1991 and received a “provisional” license in 1993. In 1994, she received a “certificate to serve as a substitute.” A 1997 letter indicates Weingarten didn’t submit documentation showing she’d met requirements for licensure. No record indicates she ever served as a full-time teacher or was evaluated by a principal or other school official. When Weingarten ran for president of New York’s United Federation of Teachers in 1998, her opponent, Michael Shulman, suggested that she was not a “real teacher.” – See more at: http://www.joannejacobs.com/2011/07/how-long-did-weingarten-teach/#sthash.A9t7k7Vk.dpuf The witch never spent any quality time in a classroom, government or otherwise.
