As I consider what I read, I wonder: It sounds like our grading/evaluation system is in the same boat as our financial system — standards too watered down? Just make a new metric!
Since when can you earn a 4.5 GPA? Or a 2120 SAT? Were we getting too many valedictorians with 4.0s and 1600s despite our nation’s downward spiral in education?

What is going on here?

Wow, usually when I’m trying to discern a false prophet, I’m comparing true/false, biblical/non-biblical, prescient/b.s.
I’m not Catholic, but so far am inspired by Pope Francis — not because he pleases me, but because so far I see his actions exemplifying the spirit of Jesus Christ — including bringing to a boil the Pharisees of the day!
Time will tell how Francis will lead the church. Perhaps he WILL be the “Last Pope,” — the last TRUE Pope. Actions will reveal the spirit, and it is our charge to know the Standard by which everything is judged, lest we be led astray.

That is exactly what I thought.

Obama, when not campaigning, is always talking “lawyer.” Implying one thing while actually saying another and retaining deniability for future charges of dishonesty. Similarly, I was thinking this morning that it is likely that he “said” in response to the Benghazi attack that we need to ensure the security of every American involved, but what was the official directive of the Commander In Chief? Likely two very different things.

Everyone ought to have that attitude regardless of race, religion, sex, age, weight, (and whatever other victimhood classifications that can be ascribed).
