Hey! Don’t knock Pintrest! It’s a useful site if used correctly. Unfortunately, there will always be idiots who misuse it. It’s a great organizational tool and I’ve gotten many great and practical ideas from it – you just have to weed through some of the useless crap.

You took the words right out of my mouth!

Wow. Really? You admit to not having seen the movie or read the books, so how can you claim with such absolute authority that it is “garbage?” It is actually a very well done movie and nicely written book series, one which has themes of honor, self-sacrifice, and resistance against oppression. Also, there is no obscene sex, no pervasive language, and the violence, though intense, is handled tactfully.
I agree that most movies today have suffered in the creativity department; a lot of movies now are absolute crap. But I couldn’t let the ignorant blanket statement you made go in regards to a movie that finally breaks the status quo and is actually good.
And sometimes, even in hard economic times like these, people just need to cut loose and forget about their troubles for a couple of hours.

@ OLD TRUCKERS,
I agree. If this is not staged and was a genuine proposal, I don’t consider it “cold” of her to turn him down; why is she obligated to say yes? And if she did just to save him face, that’s only leading him on. I feel sorry for the guy, but at least now he knows.

The $40 dollar gift card you have no desire to use? Give it to a family/homeless person in need! Olive Garden might have messed up here, but food is food to a hungry person. You could make some homeless person’s week!

He is in my prayers as my brother in Christ. I pray he stands strong and has peace.

@ Lucy Larue… I feel the EXACT same way! If Barnes & Nobles goes too, becuase of these wireless readers, I don’t know what I’ll do! There’s something about walking through a bookstore, holding the book in your hand, smelling the pages…
What do you mean, poor guy? How can you be a professional ball player and not know how to slide? It wasn't even that close, so there was no need to go head first. What a moron! That, boys and girls, is why the American League has the DH rule. Pitchers and offense do not mix.
Read the article before writing your comment. It says he injured his leg (pulled a hammy, maybe) and he dove toward the plate (in agony probably) to touch the plate. Maybe he should have just stopped when he got hurt?
Lol read the article. Why do that when your only reason for posting is to laugh at someone elses misfortune. Many of the above posters probably can't read...
@ bullhorn.....No such thing as pitcher running and sliding practice!
