  • Extremely well said. It would take much of sport out of hunting, but most of my firearms aren’t for hunting anyway. I want one!

  • Me too. =)

  • The article didn’t address what ITAR is for and I don’t see any comments on it, so I thought I’d talk about it. ITAR is about exports. Exportation of ALL weapons technology is regulated under ITAR. Since this is new tech, it’s regulated (yes plastic guns are decades old, but point-and-click-and-you-have-a-gun-without-any-tech-knowhow). It’s what is supposed to keep the plans for oh, say, cruise missiles out of the hands of terrorists, and accurate ICBMs out of the hands of that North Korean brat. Posting something on open access forums is considered to be exportation. So what Cody did was ignore exportation laws and that’s why the files are down. He could also be subject to some really massive fines and if they wanted to push the issue, they could push for jail time. The State Dept. SHOULD decide that this is not military grade tech and it doesn’t need to be regulated. I just can’t picture O’barry’s State Dept doing that though. Fortunately, as others have said, cat’s out of the bag. I just hope Cody doesn’t get his life ruined for it.

    Nope kiba just the pin and nonfunctional block. Springs are plastic as is the chamber/barrel. Not durable I’d think, but it’d be enough for a few shots.

    Machined generally refers to material being cut away. Printing usually refers to material deposition..i.e. ink on paper. Which is exactly what is done here. In this case I think it a very apt term.

    The casing is not what contains the explosion. It’s the chamber of the firearm. There are firearms that simply stack combustible pellets behind a slug (for an oversized example, picture the main guns of a battleship).. .. the primer is still gonna be tough.

    @Meteors….c’mon, you can’t even get basic physics right. So we’ll take your assumption of 100 mph (you’re actually a tad bit low for the pros), the ball is losing momentum from the moment it breaks contact with the bat. It loses roughly 1mph every 7 feet of flight. [See reference 1] This is an estimate, because we all know the speed/distance curve is nonlinear and varies with speed. The MINIMUM distance this ball has flown is 250 feet. Which gives us a decrease of at least 35 fps. Now the assumption of shutter speed. 1/10th of a second is LOW LIGHT speed. Cell phones shutters range from 1/500th to 1/10th (see reference 2). This is full sunlight (note the streaking) so shutter is going to be on top speed. So, at 111 fps with shutter speed at highest setting, the ball moves .2 feet, or a bit less than 3 inches. With a travel vector that is approaching the camera (not directly at it, but moving it nearer) that’s just enough to account for what distortion there is. Of course, she may have a better

    So holler fake all you want people, but the physics don’t back you up.

  • Welcome to the Blaze MrTips. I know how you feel. My son is only two and I find myself wondering how the heck I’m gonna keep all the garbage away from him….. I guess I can’t, just make sure I stay involved and teach him real truth. That and the fact that my wife is homeschooling him will hopefully be enough.
    @Nigel, I agree Glenn works hard…..but I also think he’s a whole lot smarter than most in the Lame Stream Media.

    and I agree with Nut. Trust God, be a bible junkie. Love the way you put that Nut.

    Ride hard. Shoot straight. Tell the truth.

    My father is an eagle scout. I and my three brothers are eagle scouts. It used to be part of what BSA taught was morality. How can they profess to do so when they welcome those whose proclaimed lifestyle directly contradicts what they claim to teach?

    On my honor, I will do my best
    To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law;
    To help other people at all times;
    To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.

    A homosexual has discarded God (yes, Jesus did indeed condemn it, and so did Mohamed) and sexual activity before marriage is not “morally straight” whether it is homosexual or heterosexual.

    I won’t have my son tutored by an organization whose actions don’t reflect their proclaimed morals nor an organization whose proclaimed morals conflict with mine. It is truly a pity, but my son will never be a boy scout. I guess I’ll just have to teach him all that stuff myself. Was planning on it anyway, but it would have been nice to have a venue in which it could be reinforced.
