  The purging of the military of career soldiers/sailors actually started under Johnson, continued under Nixon (I’m sorry to say – he destroyed the Navy with Zumwalt!) and continued big time under Carter, was delayed under Reagan, or so I’m told, and went full speed ahead under Clinton. Bush was left with what he had to work with from those years, and under Obama the services are now being taken over by the politically correct, the homosexuals and the moo-slums.
