How Short-Sighted Leadership Has Sabotaged Conservative Pop Culture

This piece nails it! How many times do we have to see country music singers at the GOP convention? It is infuriating that groups on the right seem to completely reject the idea of looking at pop culture and thinking outside of the box. When Smart Girl Politics announced that Madison Rising would be performing at our annual Smart Girl Summit last summer in Alexandria, Virginia, someone made a comment that our membership would not be a good audience for MR. SO WRONG! Our members loved their performance and it was a highlight of the Summit. Watching the boring convention, I could not help but think how much more appeal the GOP would have had with the passion and awesome music of Madison Rising.
