  What’s not mentioned is that the punk of that era was actually consistent in anti-establishment. It was a climate of distrust of government, Tories and Labour. It grew out of the awful Labour-created situation and continued as the Tories took over.

  Also should be noted the attitude toward the USA at the time by some, for example The Kinks. Read the lyrics of their 1970s song Catch Me Now I’m Falling.

  You’re ignore the fact that the tweet was tweeted even before Benedict resigned. What are the odds, even with millions of tweets per day, that someone would mention the Pope resigning (which hasn’t happened in 600 years) and the new Pope would be named Francis (which has never happened before and the new Pope could have chosen any name). The Pope resigning, although having not happening in 600 years, is one thing but getting that AND the new Pope’s name that is being used for the first time.. The combo of the two is pretty amazing
