Frantic Crowd Falls Into Icy Lake Trying to Save Stranded Man…But There’s a Happy Ending
December 30, 2012 at 12:56am
First off, glad no one was injured…however, it must be noted that these are the same people who frequent the southern California mountains the day after any snowfall. Growing up in the town where this occurred, it is not unusual behavior. The locals refer to these people as “flat-landers” as they travel up from Los Angeles by the thousands. Usually, they park on the side of the hwy and have their kids sled down a hill right into oncoming traffic (soooo much fun). Then, as soon as grandma gets tired, they pile back into their 1992 suburbans and head back down the hill to LA….leaving their coke cans and potato chip bags on the side of the road. Such a wonderful time of year for the locals!
Could You Live Like This? See the Off-the-Grid Floating Cabin and a Family of Three in a 70-Sq-Meter Space

When I saw the picture of the float cabin, it reminded me of a former college professor who also had purchased a float cabin up in BC. So, I clicked on the link, and sure enough, it was my old professor Mr. Lutz! Glad to see him living a simplified life, which definitely suits him.
