Preparing for the unknown is something my Grandparents did, because it is the sensible thing to do. They grew up in the mountains of VA. where self-sufficiency was the norm and not looked down upon.
I am not sure but I think that the idea of being self-sufficient is demonized by the progressive movement, where the idea is to be dependent on the government.

Equality is a fallacy. NO one is equal to anyone else. I think she means equal opportunity which is fine as long as we are dealing with the public sector. Private companies/organizations should not be forced to admit or hire anyone.

It is all part of the plan to brainwash children into thinking guns are evil, therefor gun owners are evil.
If you have children in public schools do what you can to get them out of there.

When I was a child and we broke our toy guns, which was often, we would use sticks isn’t imagination a wonderful thing. I remember seeing a tv show like 20/20 I can’t remember what it was now but the parents did not allow “violent toys” like guns guess what to the parents dismay the little boy did the same thing sticks became guns clumps of dirt became grenades( my favorite) it is all part of the feminizing of America.

I just want to point out that this is the Confederate Naval Jack not the Battle Flag
Actually, the Confederate flag is called a "flag" when flown on land, and a "jack" when flown on a ship at sea. Initially, in the Navy of King Charles II, "Jack" was used to describe a small version of anything (like "mini"). In this case, a small version of the flag was flown on a staff at the bow of a ship when in port (for identification purposes). In later years the small flag staff on the bow would take on the name "jackstaff". As ships modernized, the jackstaff was replaced, but the name "jack" remained as the correct (modern) term for a national flag on a ship in harbor or at sea.
An example would be the British national flag, which is only referred to as the "Union jack" when flown on a ship at sea--otherwise, the "Union flag".
It is true that a resolution of the British Parliament in 1908 made it clear that "...the national flag shall be the Union Jack....", however, this only served to confuse the issue for civilians. Clearly there weren't enough former sailors in parliament to thwart the foolish resolution! ; )

The Roanoke times in VA did that for CHP holders, including a women who got the Concealed Handgun permit because she was afraid her abusive ex-husband was going to find her and hurt or kill her. so self righteous media should think of the consequences of their actions, but that will never happen.
The media doesn't care... yet they scream the loudest when their right to freedom of the press is threatened. Including protecting their sources (which is not included in the Bill of Rights) ...Responsible gun owners do not typically seek publicity about their ownership. It is a privacy matter. Yet I seriously doubt any will shrink from the threat. You cannot shame those who feel no reason for shame

How can you “celebrate” diversity by removing a chaplain? It is more like screw the Christian white male celebration.
