Matthew 16:18 says: “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”

Now show me where it says that Jesus told Peter “you are hereby the first pope of the catholic church”, or anything else in there about the catholic church? I know you can’t because it DOESN’T say anything like that. The first leaders of the catholic church after it was created by constatine made that claim on that scripture to give itself authority. But lets get technical here, the Jewish leaders wanted Jesus killed, the Romans (the founders of the catholic church did the physical killing) even though Jesus was not actually “killed” He gave up His life. ANY church denomination has as much right as the catholic church does to claim that scripture for their own denomination. The catholic church does not “own” Peter. If you wanted to truly find out the truth about the catholic church then you would actually study it in depth, including them being made up also of the sun worshipers. Then read God’s Word and the catholic church would not fit in with God’s words because of the combination of the two religions. However, this does not necessarily affect the people in the church as long as they have truly accepted Christ as their Savior. I believe that anyone in the catholic church will have to answer to God regarding their part in that church. The only true important thing to worry about is accepting Jesus a

I agree with you! It was a hate crime because he hated getting robbed and having a gun put next to his head and told that he’s dead. I tend to hate something like that myself. What I hate about this is that he was too easy on the guy! Like Michael Berry likes to say, Bang Bang Bang, take that sucker! HA HA HA They better not try to do anything to him, if they do then maybe we can run that DA out ouf Texas on a rail right next to Ocasio from the Houston VA Cemetery.

    “Religion of peace…………”

Religion of peace………. cowards of religion………
It is easy to show bravery at hanging an 8 yr old child.

I hereby state that I am a catholic man. Now I guess that since I’m a catholic man that I encompass all of humankind and therefore all mankind is indebted to me. Actually if you were as knowledgable as you like to think, you would realize that when constatine came up with the name catholic (yes it means universal) but it is used just like the word generic. This means that the name of the catholic religion is just based on what would be considered a generic name. It amazes me how people will make and lay claim to something specific. Say Matthew 16:18 and then claim that it says that Jesus created the catholic church when there is 0% proof of it having anthing to do with any catholic church. Just because the Catholic church “claimed” that particular scripture to use as the basis for the catholic religion doesn’t make it so. That would be the same as walking into a garage and claiming to be a car. It just don’t make it so!

BTW: We do not hate the Catholic Church. The leadership of the Catholic Church is since they cannot truthfully deny that they don’t know the truth when they reach the level that they do. The people are just trying to follow God and Jesus and it is not fully their fault that they don’t know that the church has been feeding lies to their “people” as long as they came into existence in 320AD. It is comparable to the unions here. The union leaders are crooked as all get out but the large majority of the rank and file union members are not like that. Feel free to tell me I’m a liar, that I hate the Catholic Church, that I hate this and that. It won’t bother me to be told that because I know that all I have to do is wait until the truth is proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, and I can safely say that it won’t be me that is proven wrong. Stop trying to act like liberal wackos that blindly accept whatever they are told instead of digging and searching out the truth. The truth has no agenda so it cannot hate the Catholic Church.

  • July 24, 2011 at 5:37pm

If you think that people that uses facts to prove a point and disprove yours makes them “Christians” who are full of hatred and ignorance.” Then you will really hate when you have to face God’s Perfect Truth mixed with God’s Perfect Love and balanced with God’s Perfect Justice and you have to tell Him that He is “full of hatred and ignorance” because He tells you that the Catholic Church is what it is proven to be. What do you think He will do when you call Him a hater and ignorant because He disagrees with what you say. I would say that it would be a very GOOD idea to research, study and not stop looking until you find the truth instead of just blindly believing whatever kind of koolaid the Catholic Church decides to give to their congregations that week. THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE!!!

I hate to tell you but when someone states facts it would be very doubtful that they would be on the Soros payroll. Just because you don’t like what someone says doesn’t mean that you start accusing people of things like that. In fact, making accusations like that is textbook liberal (soros?) wacko. Also, because the facts disprove almost all claims to the legitamacy of the catholic church doesn’t make someone a bad person for stating those facts.

I got news for you. No one but Constatine and his followers came up with the name catholic to denote a universal church. Constatine STARTED the catholic church as a mixture primarily of the sun worship religion which he was head of and most of the remnant of the believers that agreed to compromise because they were tired of being chased and killed by the ROMANS such as Constatine and other emporers before him. Just because someone decided to make use of the name catholic does not make it THE church that God intended. That would be like me saying that I am the catholic genius of all time, would that make me the universal genius of all time just because I used the word catholic? Another thing for Catholics that like to use Matt. 16:18 with Peter being the rock and being made the first pope, if you wish to claim that then you have to take the good with the bad because soon after Jesus told Peter that He would build His church, he told Peter to “get behind me satan”. So if you want to claim that scripture you also have to claim that Jesus called the first “pope” satan so where does that leave the catholic church based on a charge of being satanic by Jesus Himself. Just remember that if you want to claim something then you have to claim it all. So either Constatine started to the Catholic Church or Jesus started it with Peter and basically charged the church with being satanic. Which is it?

I definitely agree with you. While Jesus said that there will always be poor among us when the woman was spreading oil over His feet basically telling us that we cannot eliminate poverty. However, these churches show terrible stewardship, they are building churches for the vanity of man not the Glory of God. There is absolutely NO reason for churches or public buildings either to be this fancy and extravagant. I went to a thesaurus to look for a particular word I wanted to use but all of these words described this too well: absurd, bizarre, costly, crazy, exaggerated, excessive, exorbitant, expensive, extortionate, extreme, fanciful, fancy, fantastic, flamboyant, flashy, foolish, garish, gaudy, grandiose, immoderate, implausible, improvident, imprudent, inordinate, lavish, ludicrous, nonsensical, ornate, ostentatious, outrageous, overpriced, preposterous, pretentious, prodigal, profligate, reckless, ridiculous, showy, silly, spendthrift, steep, unbalanced, unconscionable, unreasonable, unrestrained absurd, bizarre, costly, crazy, exaggerated, excessive, exorbitant, expensive, extortionate, extreme, fanciful, fancy, fantastic, flamboyant, flashy, foolish, garish, gaudy, grandiose, immoderate, implausible, improvident, imprudent, inordinate, lavish, ludicrous, nonsensical, ornate, ostentatious, outrageous, overpriced, preposterous, pretentious, prodigal, profligate, reckless, ridiculous, showy, silly, spendthrift, steep, unbalanced, unconscionable, unreasonable!

It’s amazing how sweet, nice, quiet, kind, loving and giving these people are according to their neighbors when they are either arrested or dies by whatever means. According to neighbors, everyone on the planet is horrible evil people compared to these thugs.

“I thought I had really made a difference for people flying with urostomies,” he said. “I’m really angry this time. They can’t be training them properly.”

I hate to break this to you Mr. Sawyer but he was acting exactly as they are all trained. The only time that you will get any kind of VIP treatment is if you are a muslim and you extra nice treatment if they think that you might be a terrorist. As obama is a muslim, to them anyone that is not muslim is a ‘terrorist” to them.

“Rome, you bigoted ninny. Your a typical smorgasboard thumper tossing out bits and pieces you don’t understand. Constantine the Great didn’t “found” the Church. What a stupid remark. You’re the harlot.”

You are correct that constatine didn’t “found” the church since it was never lost. He DID start it after he made it palatible to his sun worship group which he was head of so that he could mix the two up and in reality create a “sun worshiping god and son of god” of whom he was in charge of and could control. If there is any question about this, look at the staff that the catholic priest carries around when they are parading. The sunburst has always been the symbol of the sun worshipers, and it can be seen plain as day on their sun worship symbol placed on the cross.

    A_GUDINO………..are you serious???????????

Yes I’m afraid he is. The catholic church to justify their authority has been spreading this story out pretty much since Constatine started the catholic church. What gets me is that they like to claim Matthew 16:18 even though it says NOTHING about a catholic church. This is because the Messianic church was the only one and the catholic church wants everyone to believe that they are the only church so to them that scripture means them. I am brokenhearted because when I see people up there tell God that they are to go to heaven just because Jesus said that upon Peter He will build HIS (not the catholic’s church) Church (which by the way catholics, if it is like you say then why did Jesus later call Peter satan?), anyways when God has to tell them that they have been lied to and mislead by the church and it has caused them to follow a perversion of His Word. That will be tragic. Prayerfully I do believe that there are some catholics that have superseded the catholic church and are truly saved. I feel quite certain in saying that no one will see any catholic leaders there though.

    Welcome to the Blaze.

While you are somewhat correct in what you say because Paul WAS speaking primarily to the church he was also referring to everyone. He did not specify people outside the church because everyone including the ones sinning and knew that they were sinning. You don’t tell people who are knowingly sinning to “hold on to God’s Word” when they’re not. Other than that, God Himself spoke about these things and I would say that His Words are worth a little bit more weight than Paul’s words. As for them not sinning because they were not “living under the law” doesn’t mean diddly. If sinners know about the law and still do it then they are sinning. All the law is, is to let people know what is right and what is wrong, it has nothing to do with if someone is going to church or not. This is where a lot of people misinterpret what is meant by the law (which is Torah and in English this just means target). People to live a Godly life are to aim at Godly Living which perfectly describes the meaning of the “law”. But this “law” does not apply to church goers and no one else, it applies to everyone that has ever lived since the “law” was given. When you read your Bibles, whereever the word “law appears in the New Testament, read it as the actual meaning of the word means “the legalistic interpretation of the law” because the original word used meant exactly that!

“But Obama, in a rare Friday evening turn at the White House podium, said, “I’ve been left at the altar now a couple of times”

I agree with him. Of course after telling the nation that he’s getting married and then going to the alter when he’s already been turned down is his own fault.

I hope that the republicans don’t cave and agree to a lesser deal just because it was rejected by the Senate. The House needs to keep sending it to the Senate over and over until it gets passed. It may not get passed until after 2012 but it WILL get passed. Also, inform the Senate that NOTHING that they send to the House will even come close to passing until they pass the House’s Cut, Cap & Balance deficit reduction plan in its entirety. And make sure to let everyone know that it is because the liberal wacko anti-Americans in the Senate will not quit their efforts to destroy this great nation!

Yes, I like Rep. Culberson almost as much as Dan Patrick. I think Dan is the greatest politician that we have in Texas. We have a number of politicians that fit in the group of top congress people nationwide. Of course we have a number of politicians that easily fit into the worst politicians in the country as well. When we run Ocasio out of Texas on a rail, whereever she goes will you also take the CongressWOMAAAAN Sheila Jackson Lee and Houston City Council woman Jolanda “Jo” Jones? PLEEEEEASE!!!

  • July 22, 2011 at 6:35pm

Well we will just about be able to guaratee to make it easier for him because there will be a LOT LESS of the liberal wackos and RINO’s around after 2012 for him to have to face. It is a shame that the founding fathers are not living today because everyone of them would be willing to put their lives on the line again against these people that are trying to destroy America. I would bet that they would consider these people today worse than the people they had to face in their time.

  • July 22, 2011 at 6:32pm

Who are you and why are you so unintelligently fearful of the Jewish people? What you insist on repeating over and over only shows an unintelligent fear and the only ones that were that fearful are the people that knows who the Jews truly are and are fearful about that. I know that the Nazi’s were that fearful, as well as some people in the early churches such as the ones that headed the inquisitions and the ones in the crusades that used the crusades to try to exterminate the Jews, there are also other times that the fear was shown but I won’t go into those. It is very very interesting to see that level of fear from someone. And just in case you get to thinking that this is an attack on you, no I don’t think that you’re a nazi, I am just very curious and interested in that level of fear since that level is very rare.

  • July 22, 2011 at 6:18pm

I got news for obama, whether it seems like it or not the majority of the population is not crazy stupid people which are called liberal wackos. It only seem like it because they whine and cry louder than everyone else. He can’t speak for true Americans because he isn’t one (and I don’t necessarily refer to where he was born either). He cares nothing for the American people or the American Way which is what has made this nation so wealthy and great. His objective is to destroy it and he’s got quite a few characters that feel the same way and a few that are stupid enough to go along with him because they get a “thrill running up their legs” whenever they think about him. He has more people that are supposedly “straight” that gets thrills up their legs thinking about him than the number of homosexuals that have that same “thrill running up their legs” feeling about him.

  • July 22, 2011 at 6:11pm

    “party-line vote of 51-46″

Lets see if it would be a 51-46 party line in 2012. I will be willing to bet that ratio is seriously changed and in a way that the liberal wacko anti-Americans won’t like.
