Too bad that the government has to create criminals instead of doing their job of fighting crime. I think that either the police don’t have enough to do or they are afraid of doing their REAL job.

Yes, Tom…and thank you. We are losing our culture to so many forces, but excellent parenting builds a foundation under a child that help him/her become a resilient human being. Strangely, I see the most wonderful parenting in our immigrants compared to the “citizens” of this country. (Of course, I live in a conservative community that isn’t in Utah…God Bless those Mormons.) I can also assure you that the combination of mental illness, psychotropic drugs, testosterone, frustration and rejection will create an “uncivil” young man no matter how good the parenting. Then again, maybe good parenting combined with good hard physical work that allows our young men to experience accomplishment keeps keeps from becoming mentally ill??? How many “farm boys” do you know who suffer from mental illness? Hmmm…anyway, thank you for your common sense observation.
