    Disagree that this was “public humiliation.”

    Rather, this was a rebuke.

    Humiliation carries a subtle element of weakness in the person who delivers it, with vapors of self-aggrandizement & shallow arrogance. Col. West possesses none of these traits.

    A sharply-worded, yet fair, rebuke, is an entirely different animal, & its very essence is one of justice & genuine thought. It is this that was delivered with clarity & firmness by Col. West. Humiliation must resonate within its recipient in order by its very definition; it cannot be commanded.
