  Reading your entire post I sense your giving the political retort. “20 years too late to make a difference.” The original Act never stopped it had similar provisions which covered the same situations for service members. Congress and Bill Clinton saw the need for updating the Act.

  “Oh, and obviously the problem they were trying to solve had everything to do with “going to war and losing your job” and nothing to do with a country turned against its own people by Communists.”

  Yes one of the problems they were trying to solve was just that among other things. It had nothing to do with Communism.

  Speaking of thought, try to do some research on your own before spouting statements with no thought behind them like the above.

  @Jaycen “I’m done thanking veterans, because they already get a big, fat thanks from my tax dollars” Huh? I served active duty 10 years ago and it has not gone up much my yearly earnings with BAQ and VHA, and BAS was $27k a year. On what planet are you on that my big fat pay check is thanks from you. I’m tired of peoples’ UN-sympathetic attitude towards service members and their families’ sacrifice. Go serve active duty or even reservist for a few years and see if you can make ends meet without a actual private job waiting for you when you get back from serving over in Iraq or Afghanistan for 6 months and tell me about your big fat paycheck and earnings. You can’t even make a 1 bedroom apartment lease payment on that big fat paycheck we get. And no housing is not guaranteed to reservists.

  The Uniformed Service Employment and Reemployment Rights Act stems previously from the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974. Hmm, what were people complaining about then… well the draft. We have an all volunteer military now we could bring back the draft and you guys could see what its like to not find employment after you have to serve in a mandatory fashion. Please don’t take away recruiters major method of attracting reservists, our most highly gifted service members in the military. Many are pilots, doctors, and lawyers, technicians, and tradesmen.

  I don’t believe Glenn Beck is trying to sell us anything. I’m not paying for any of this and all of you like me can choose to listen or not. This is very similar to the 12 step program and I can appreciate it. I’m am very supportive of this type of ideology and its faith based origins. All modern day AA, NA, SA, OA, etc. etc, stem from original Alcoholics Anonmous. As of Y2K, membership spanned 150 countries with over 100k groups with millions of recovering addicts. But its premise and underlying goal is a spiritual awakening. Unfortunately that happens in you through surrender to a power greater then you. These type of programs only work if you are on Rock Bottom. Well we haven’t hit rock bottom yet. So none of us are going to see the value in what Glenn is passing along. He keeps telling us to prepare, that we are going to hit Rock Bottom. He keeps showing us the precursors. When that time comes, you all will wish you had listen and followed those steps before. I don’t have any skill’s for when we hit that place so I’ll probably be dog meat too. Evening being a former service member still couldn’t prepare me for what is in store for us. I simply pray and hope God will give me the strength to preserver. And if HE chooses to take me, I will Pray also that I am ready.

  I agree. Is it just me? Or does anyone elses’ jaws drop when they see a forklift crumple it like tin foil from behind doing 2.5 mph. I used to hit the forklift into my stores Silverado duelee all the time with the forklift, left a few scratches but the darn thing wouldn’t even dent.

  You don’t happen to be born female. You are born male or female and then your mental and spiritual being makes a conscience choice to act and behave male or female. It is not biological, that Crossdressing, Transsexual, or Transgendered person seeks to become the opposite sex.

  Lets get your facts straight as well about the differences between the above categories in plain english….
  Crossdresser – A person who enjoys dressing in the opposites sexes clothing. I’ve meet and counseled many like this some married or single men and women. Most of which I have to say are married men.

  Transsexual – A person not only feels comfortable crossdressing but also feels they need to additional female or male outward characteristics to complete the picture but aren’t comfortable losing existing male genitalia. They will go as far as pharmaceuticals and even go to great lengths to hide their true identity.

  Transgendered – This simply a person who has gone over the threshold of past tense and have completed the outward and irrevocable physical change on their appearance and gentalia.

  I see your heart is in the right place with your kindness, but spiritually I sense you are very lost. It takes almost no effort to deny the existence of God, it takes an immense amount of effort to seek Him. I love everyone, even you, and will pray because it is still not too late.

  What happened to freedom of Religion? Church, Clergymen, and Members have all the right as anyone else to discuss topics of politics in Church. The framers sole purpose of Separation of Church and State was to allow everyone to practice whatever religion they wanted and to prevent state mandated faith or religion. In what way does political discussion or endorsement originating from a particular Faith or Church violate anyone’s rights. We are all free to choose what church we attend and if we don’t like their political philosophy we are free to seek faith elsewhere.

  Personally, I agree with any particular faith reaching out to the lost i.e. (OWS persons) to enlighten and expose them to principles of faith and a belief in God. Any exposure can’t hurt.

  Early on in my faith, and now, I was taught to love everyone even my enemy. Pray for peace, grace, and the love of Jesus Christ for all of them. Perhaps there will be salvation for them. God bless everyone and I hope they make the right decisions to turn away from the dark and come into the light, even for Obama as much as I would disagree with him.
