My Grandfather taught me that more people are accidently killed with unloaded guns than with loaded ones. And what is Rule #1? Every gun is loaded until you open the chamber and physically look into and place your finger into the chamber. And Rule #2? Never point a weapon at anything you don’t intend to kill or destroy. If this man would have followed those two, rule #3 and the Finger discipline thing would not even have come into play. Tragic story, and yes a rooky mistake, but then again that is always the case with accidents. Follow the rules and nobody accidently dies.

I guess, when the good folks in Tejas asked to succeed from Mexico, Generalissimo Antonio López de Santa Anna had the same answer “NO! That is not possible”.

If memory serves me, those humble dirt farmers proved him wrong and the Republic of Texas was born. A native son but long a maverick, I remember the order of importance and I stand with: God/Family/Texas/and then the US. From anywhere in the world that does not change.

No disrespect to those who do and I’m not sure if anybody here has metioned this but, Marines do not put this kind of stuff on thier uniforms. When I servered we did not even display our names.

Hey Doughy. Personally I believe Manhattan would make a much better prison. Far easier to enclose and guard and most of the rest of the country could care less about what happens there anyway. Hell we could even leave Bloomberg in charge.
